AUSTIN, TEXAS -- I have never had any trouble with Chase, in fact they were very helpful when I lost my card (which the finder/thief) used! I had absolutely no trouble having my card replaced and having erroneous charges deleted while they pursued the "perp".
My positive experience may not outweigh others' issues, just wanted to add to discussion.

Credit Line Reductions - Complaint
This bank is terrible? And their advertising is laughable, no fees if you pay within 24 hours. I have had this bank pull lines of credit even though I never missed any payments to any creditors.
My advice to anyone looking for a bank is to bank with your locally owned bank. People that have to look you in the eye everyday are not as apt to cheat you as some big co in NY.

I had 4 credit cards through Chase. 2 were transferred when they bought out WAMU.

Hello,
Originally I opened account with WAMU. Later chase bought WAMU. It seems like that all the terms between customer with chase back to null. In other way, chase put rules they want on their customers.
I opened account at WAMU with lifetime FREE checking + Free cashier checks as long as not over 3 a month. Today cashier ask for $8. My average balance in my business account always at least $3500 any day. They lost 5 year old account in a second over $8.

Chase holds customer's funds - Direct Depost - Complaint
Before WAMU became Chase, funds from direct deposit employment checks were available immediately with no hold on the funds. Without notice to the customer, Chase has begun holding customer's money hostage until they are ready to release it. This should NOT be allowed. I am literally considering bankruptcy because they doubled my payments and my rates. I have good credit and have always paid on time. I've had the card for 18 years.
Is there really a law suit? Please post the info if their is.

Never Bank With Chase / JP Morgan - Credit Card - Complaint
Chase credit card services are the worst I have ever seen. The service is so bad I wish I could file bankruptcy just to keep from ever paying them a dime. I call to file a dispute against a charge and was given the most drama ever. The customer service guy was rude as hell.
Hopefully this bank will be the next bank to go out of business, because they don't care about their customers.

I have Fixed Rate at 3.99%. The credit card company increase from 2% to 5% the capital. I called them and gave me the following options: First, pay the increased amount of payment (my case from $210 to $498)......... or change my fixed rate to 7.99% to lower to 2% the capital. WaMu Chase - credit card - Complaint
They were fine until Chase absorbed them. Then blam, blam they hiked our interest rate 4% without us missing a payment or anything, and then cut our credit limit to our balance without any warning.

Lairs - Home equity - Complaint
For years I have had my mortgage and home equity with WaMu. When chase took over they froze my equity line stating concerns with my credit report and income. All three of my credit reports are stella, and income has increased since first opening my equity line. They are lying through their teeth. I was a card holder of Chase for 11 years. I recently told them to reduce my limit to $1K, in case my card ever got stolen. Well, despite my reqeust, I went over my $1K limit (my card transaction shoult not have gone through at this point). Plus they added $39 as an over limit fee and refused to waive. Chase Credit Card Abuse - Late Fee - Complaint
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- I am always on time with my payments. On 5-4-09 I sent $101 to Chase via U.S. Mail, the payment was due on the 6TH and the payment was posted on the 7Th. Now I have a $39.00 late fee. This is just stealing money. I could understand if the check was dated after the due date, but we are talking about a few hours.

I have been a chase credit card member since 1992. Starting in 2009 they have started charging me a transaction fee. I have not made a charge in months and I have always made my payments on time. They are only charging me ten dollars a month but they can raise it any amount they want is what they told me.

From a Chase Visa Mileage Plus member for 10+ years.
I tried to redeem miles for a car rental.
I was told I do not have enough miles (current balance 210,000).
I need 'choice' miles???
Ads state: "redeem miles for hotel, car rental and more..." is grossly misleading.
I pay a $60 annual fee to accrue miles on Visa MP card.
Frustrating.

TAMOA, FLORIDA -- Chase just ripped me off. My payment was always do on the 2nd of every month. Last year I transfered a balance to my Chase Card, with an interest rate of 3.99% until the balance is paid off. The fraud was the same as everybody: I just found about in my Feb 08 bill that they changed the due date to Jan 28 instead of Feb 1st, making my payment be 1 day late.
It is time to act. We need to do something.

Never once been late since I got this card, but now my rate is at 29.99% because of the "periodic review". If I have never been late with a specific creditor, it shouldn't be legal for them to increase your rate to that of "loan shark".

ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- The company refuses to send me a paper bill, yet claims they do and claim they have!
They marked me as 30 days late because of that!
I have complained to Experian, BBB, and Federal Trade Commission.
I even call their central office in Chicago; I didn't heard from them anything and now they sand me this suit on account. What can I do?

Fraudulent Credit Card usage - Complaint
I had closed my Chase account in January of 2005. In August of 2005, AOL fraudulently charged this account for service. I have been trying ever since to have the charges reversed and my account permanently closed. Now I am sending a letter to the Attorney Generals of California and New York.
