Ridiculous charges - Satellite Television - Complaint DENVER, COLORADO -- Overall their service was okay, it became really expensive really fast. My main complaint, is that there was some ridiculous pro-rated charge when I went to cancel.

Keep away from Dish Network. Losing satellite very frequently. - Complaint Nearly every day, I turn on my television just to see a notation that my satellite has lost the ability to bring me my television programs. Dish mover not really free - Informative After completeing our new home we contacted Dish Network about having our service relocated to our new home, all the advertisment shows dish mover free of charge, not so fast when we called we were told there would be a $100.00 fee for the move. Dishnetwork is a rip off - Complaint I had Dishnetwork over a year now on a 2 year contract. I've got the top 200 channel progam an most are sports or what I call junk channels. The ones that sucks and a lot are other language other than English which I don't understand.

A pure joke! - Complaint After being a customer of Dish Network for 6 years I finally decided to get with the program and upgrade to DVR. I was told that I would be charged $149 for it, but had I been a new customer it would be free. Then the lady proceeds to tell me that I can go on eBay and purchase one and a technician would come out and hook it up for me for $95. Seriously??? Bunch of liars - Tried to get get $420 from me!! - Complaint Worst company ever!!! When I called to inquire info they told me that I could cancel in 30 days with no cancellation fees. I am in my 28th day and they said they would CHARGE $420.00 to cancel my service. I spoke with several managers they all said the same bs. Humorous - Satellite Cable - Complaint I wish I had read these reviews before I decided to go with Dish Network. They are all right on the money. They have finally (after 2 months and 5 supervisors) admitted they tried to scam me. But only because I had factual evidence. Then they still are trying to collect a cancellation fee. Greedy - cheaters - Complaint Had channels remove to lower payment plan, instead the payment stayed the same. They lower it for one month. and the next month it went up again, they said it was a discount for removing channels, but the following month it went back to a higher payment. Dish Network and Dish Internet - Internet andTV - Complaint TEXAS -- Every time there is a cloud in the sky or a drop of rain, our Dish Network and internet service goes out. And that happens a lot in my area. I've called and told them this, but they won't take any money off bill. I would say that I am getting about one-half of the service for which I've paid.
My dial-up internet was much better (but slower) than what I have now, but, at least, I was GETTING something.

What is wrong with local channels - Complaint The local channels keep dropping off, sometimes twice a day, happens for about 15 minutes, sometimes longer..its getting on my nerves...It keeps saying on the screen, do not call for service we are working on the local channels. No Service but I still have to pay - Sattelite Provider - Complaint PALATINE, ILLINOIS -- I recently moved 4 blocks before the completion of a 24 month contract, Dish Network is unable to provide me with service at my new location. Apparently they can't aim the dish toward the only sattelite available. Even though they can't provide me with service, I am still required to pay them or cancel my contract and pay them a hefty fee. Has anyone had their credit check without your permission? - TV network - Question ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO -- I created a hoopla with a few financial pundits who have told me companies can't check your credit without your permission (implied or explicit). Dish Network, Chase, American Express, my lawyer, etc. have done this to me. I know this because I have had a credit monitoring service. Brazen Fraud: Scam - Complaint Dish Network quoted 29.99/mo with no contract. They sent billing for $49/mo, $99/mo, and later $214 for a totally-fabricated contract. I cancelled their service after about 9 days because of hassling over charges and very rude customer service.

Dish Network Sucks! - Service - Complaint I had to move to an apartment so I had Dish Network transferred. I didn't have "line of sight" so I couldn't have Dish Network at my apartment. They can't give me service. It is their fault.

Removal of satellite dish - Removal of satellite dish - Complaint One more complaint: When you cancel (and you will!) Dish wants part of its satellite dish returned to them. Since they love to put them on roofs, hope you have a ladder. Also hope you aren't elderly or disbled. One of those ratchet type things works pretty well. Fraud, Cheater, Thief - Complaint GUYS, NEVER EVER go with this company. I talked to a lady from dish network on phone and I made sure 10 times that if I am not happy with the service I can return both service and equipment within 30 days. She took my credit card charged $150. She gave me one monthly charge and I was charged more. I called them no help. I ask them o take their equipment back. They said you purchased it, it's yours.
