OCALA, FLORIDA -- I just want to mention and leave a comment about my experience with Kanes Furniture. My wife and I purchased about two years ago two white reclining sofas. A manual one and an electric one. We loved the sofa immediately. It was gorgeous. We were told by the salesperson, Josue Santiago, that it was real leather and that if anything happens to the material including mechanical parts would have been covered by a lifetime warranty. We loved it until we found out that it was not real leather. After using it for almost two years, I saw a stain in one of the cushions. Of course, when you buy an expensive item like so, you must buy the warranty, right. You think it'll work like a charm, right. You think everything would be fine, right. Well, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. After I used the UV3 product that was given to us along with the warranty, the material started coming off. Yes, the material. Well, here is when my nightmare started. I immediately, contacted them thinking they would solve it, but they did not. Now, I have an expensive sofa that was sold to me as real leather with a big stain on the right cushion with a paid warranty that never worked because they did not do their job properly and they sold the item with a bunch of lies. Please, make sure if you are buying from this guys to know everything you must know before you give them your money. They have a lot of bad experiences from people having the same situation. This is the kind of company which sells their products telling lies and don't take care of you when it comes to using the expensive warranty.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- Beware! Don't buy from Kanes. Bought a living room set, which included sofa, loveseat, center table, and TV console. The sales guy misguided me, and sent the wrong center table. I was not able to return it, but rather received a store credit after lots of complaints. Less than 6 months from buying the sofa the electronic feature didn't work, and less than 1 1/2 year, the sofa was sinking in. Everytime you call it's an issue. They tend to blame each other for mispeaking, and like to make excuses. The tech guy that came the last time; threw the sofa on the floor (without care), things fell off the drawers and he didn't pick them up, really!!! Was supposed to get a call 2 days after his visit; did no receive it. Therefore, I called in, and the CS manager acted as if everything was fixed; even though, she was well aware of what needed to be corrected. Lifetime Warranty sucks...my sofa and loveseat alone were over $2,000, so I didn't buy cheap; therefore I expected better quality and service! I will NEVER buy from Kanes in the future.

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA -- Scratches and paint wear on lift up coffee table that isn't even 6 months and for which I am still paying for.... Can hardly wait to see how my leather recliners hold up.

LAKELAND, FLORIDA -- My 3 seater and 2 seater couches were delivered along with coffee table. The color was a muddy throw up green. I just painted here and if the couches looked like in the store would have been beautiful. The Mgr stated I could not return for a lighter color and told me to put more light on them. That was a 3,000.00 nightmare. Cancelled shelf on backorder. Will never do business with Kane's again.

Don't Expect Satisfaction!

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- Kane's Furniture has received at least 60 complaints against them at Consumer Affairs. I am now the latest in a long line of customers who didn't get what they paid for. The store has a history of not delivering the merchandise... read the complaints and see for yourself. I was promised delivery of my living room furniture (already billed to my credit card, of course!) today. Delivery was confirmed 4 different times during the week. They promise that the driver will call to provide a 4-hour window for your delivery... in the morning.

At 11:30 I began to get worried, so I contacted the store. I was told the truck had broken down and the delivery would either be late or not at all. They wanted to reschedule. Thinking they would at least try to deliver, I said I wanted the delivery today. At 3:30, I called for an update and was told the delivery would be between 4:30-7:30 (not so bad, just an hour later than their usual 6:00 cut off). At 6:30, the driver called with a brand new excuse, that his partner was ill and they couldn't deliver. Having already read the complaints against them, I could see this was their usual M.O. I was told they would call in 5-10 minutes to reschedule. The phone call never happened.

I have contacted the store manager and requested a refund of purchase, canceling the order. The manager promised a refund in 3-5 days, but, in hindsight, I realize she got no real information from me. Again, having read all the other complaints against the company, I doubt I will see a dime of my $2600 without a court battle. Please warn everyone NOT to shop at Kane's Furniture unless you have lots of money to throw away.
