NCO Wants to charge me for a debt - Complaint I received an automated telephone call the other day stating I must call them. When I called, they demanded I pay by check at that moment or they will take me to court and garnish my wages. I tried to explain I was out of work, and had no income, and could not pay. They basically refused to listen to what I had to say, and said I would be hearing from them. Do I have any options now?-- Posted by Mia bun on 05/26/2010
Unhelpful and Rude - Complaint SUPER HORRIBLE COMPANY WITH SUPER HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! This company contacted me and left a voicemail that there was a debt in my name that needed to be collected. I call back and they can't find me anywhere in their system. I ended up having to call two different numbers and still received no information. The people I spoke with were VERY RUDE. I was cut off every time I spoke and eventually hung up on. All I was tring to do was find out what the debt was and resolve it! -- Posted by Harrassed by this company on 10/29/2009
So annoying! - Complaint I am in the process of trying to get a house and the loan/mortgage guy needs proof (a letter) I've been paying NCO. I called NCO and was told (very rudely) that unless I paid in full right now I could get no such letter. They claimed their legal dept. won't allow them to and he (the person on the phone) said he wasn't allowed to write anything about past payments I've made. I am simply going to stop all payments at this point since it has already affected my credit. I am so mad I could scream!!-- Posted by AbbeyRoad on 10/08/2009
New number - Informative Here is a number, they just started calling me and already it is about 5 or 6 times a day, each time it seems the number is different. They have even started calling work and I have only been there for 3 months! No idea how they got that number. Here is the number I have not seen on any of these sites yet: 202-607-2932-- Posted by Letsgetem on 07/03/2009
Lowblow - Complaint I recently learned that NCO has reviewed my credit report and the very next day they posted a collection. It is for 2 months rent because I left an apartment in another state 2 months early. How can the CA inquire on my credit report one day and slam me with the next with no prior contact to pay the debt? I haven't received ANY phone calls or letters from NCO but yet my credit gets slammed with no option to set up a plan ahead of time.
Anyone have any ideas?-- Posted by CAhater on 02/27/2009

Scam - Complaint WILMINGTON, DELAWARE -- This company sent me a notice that it was trying to collect a debt from AOL. I haven't been with AOL in 7 years, and I know I paid every last cent owed them. I had no outstanding debt with AOL. I am wondering if AOL even knows about this scam, and if they do, what they are willing to do about it. I am going to contact AOL in the next few days regarding this bogus company. I am also going to turn them in to Delaware's attorney general and anyone else who will listen. Enough already!-- Posted by Neesygirl on 10/01/2006
Can NCO obtain my credit report or my dads, without my dad ever giving his SS out? - Can NCO place a delinquincie on my credit report? - Complaint LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- My dad had hosting through 1 & 1 Internet Inc a long time ago, and he closed the account, but they were still charging. He owed $29.97 and refuse to pay the bill, on the grounds that he closed the account.
My question now, is that his name and my name is alike, and I am afraid that my credit may be affected by this. My dad had never given them his social security. Can NCO obtain his social security or mine by mistake and affect both our credit reports?-- Posted by Djracer on 06/05/2006

Credit Date - Credit Date - Complaint LOVELY, KENTUCKY -- I just checked my credit report and NCO's opening date of my account is actually 2 years to the month later than the date that the original credit card's transfer to an outside collection agency is.
