HUMBLE, TEXAS -- I have had my Cabrio washer for only 18 months and the control panel no longer works. The cost of this part is 75% of the purchase cost!! And the service department offers no assistance to help with the repairs of a seriously inferior product. Whirlpool has lost a customer for life.

Class Action - Cabrio Washing Machine - Complaint

I purchased four Cabrio w/d sets. All four of the washers give the F1 code. Not one of them was used 100times. We replaced the panel on one and less than 25 washings later the bearing seems to have gone bad. It sounds like a cement mixer! The question is always the same... Do we through good money after bad?

Does anyone know a "discount" parts center.

Bad Warranty - Cabrio Washer - Complaint

553 BENSON ROAD, MICHIGAN -- Purchased 3 years ago and are on our 3rd service. Only one year warranty UNLESS you want to purchase the extended warranty. VERY VERY unsatisfied!! Electronic control went out and is going to cost over 300.00 for repair. To me this is poor product and should be something they replace. Already replaced pump.

Need to go back to the old days when thing cost less but lasted much much longer!

Cabrio washer will murder your clothes - Cabrio top load washer WTW6800 - Complaint

Pros: fairly quiet except for spin

Cons: This washer has ruined my clothes. The amount of wear it causes is incredible! Clothes go from new to ruined in one wash cycle. It uses very little water and is very aggressive with agitation. The amount of damage this contraption will cause will far exceed the savings in water and power. It also leaves detergent and dirt in the clothes. If you want a HE washer go with side load.

Cabrio Washer - Cabrio Washer F1 error - Complaint

I have been experiencing problems with my Cabrio Washer for a while. It takes between 3-5 re-starts to get it to work.(To complete the wash cycle)

I'm so glad I found this site where other people are sharing their experiences regarding the very same issue. I can't wait to try some of their suggestions.

Buyer beware - cabrio washer with 6th sense - Complaint

Worked for 14 months till out of warranty and now leaks through the seal.
250 for parts not including labor for a simple seal, not to mention many other problems

In my opinion Whirlpool Cabrio is the worst washing machine that exist - Complaint

WINSTON SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA -- My Whirlpool Cabrio started messing up after a little over a year. It won't go into a spin cycle. It seems to stay stuck in the wash cycle. Won't drain completely and won't spin at all. I HATE IT. I would definitely not recommend anyone buy one. Looks good, but the looks are deceiving. Wasted my money and now I have to buy another one. The repair man that Lowe's recommended told me I was using the wrong detergent. He didn't know any more about it than I do.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer a Failure - Whirlpool Cabrio top loading washer - Complaint

BENTON HARBOR, MICHIGAN -- I purchased my washer two and a half years ago for alomost $1000. The electronic panel was replaced 2 months ago and is again malfunctioning. It is now making a very loud grinding sound which the repairman says is shot bearings. He says I should replace the washer since the repair is almost $600. I have used the washer for 4 loads per week at the most.
Whirlpool, never again!

Bad Washer - Whirlpool Cabrio Model WTW6200SW0 - Complaint

GRAY COURT, SOUTH CAROLINA -- After replacing a good 20 years old washer, we thought we would upgrade to a better washer, wrong, My Cabrio washer lasted less than three years. No help without paying a highly cost maintenance fee. It leaks from the bottom terrible. Getting codes and no meaning as to what this means.

Disappointed - whirlpool cabrio washer - Complaint

KANSAS -- We purchesed the Cabrio set about 1 year ago. Washer worked fine for 4-5 monthes. It started making funny noises, like it was grinding rocks when it drained. We called to have it repaired, it took them sending it to a repair center in Kansas City 3 times before they fixed it. Well 1 month later we are back to square one. Now it won't drain the water. I would not recamend spending the money on this set.

Junky washer - Cabrio Washer - Complaint

35634, ALABAMA -- They are a piece of crap. It broke down in 17 months. I had to have the computer board replaced and the same day something else was wrong. Have not had a repairman back yet but I'm sick of this piece of junk.

Cabrio Dryer Has Anyone Gotten Injured Using Dryer / Cabrio Dryer WED6200 - Complaint

SOUTH CAROLINA -- I purchased a Cabrio Set in 1/07. There is a design flaw on the dryer in the lower front door panel insufficient gasket. I cut myself requiring 7 stitches in 4/08. Unable to settle with Whirlpool.

Poor Product Quality - Cabrio Washer And Dryer - Complaint

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- PLEASE do NOT purchase this set - very expensive! I've owned over a dozen washer/dryers in 34 years of marriage - never such a miserable product. Everything (even T's) have to be ironed - 1/2 the time, clothes removed from washer still have dry spots. Several items aren't even clean upon removal.

Very disappointed - Whirlpool very uncooperative! Too expensive for a bad product!

Cabrio Washer & Dryer, Expensive Junk - Cabrio Type 581 - Complaint

URBANDALE, IOWA -- I begged my husband to buy this high-end washer and dryer set. I'm so sorry he did! Our washer stops with an F-1 code on every single wash load we do, and has done this since last June. We've checked the balancing over and over, but it always does the same thing. We would have been better off to buy a rock and beat our clothes clean!

I am so upset with Whirlpool. I was always a loyal customer of theirs since 1975, but no more!

ILLINOIS -- Company says that is when it is suppose to go in after wash cycle is emptied. Clorox and myself say not.
