Cracker Barrel Complaint - Horrible Service Covington, LA.
Complaint
COVINGTON, LOUISIANA -- Let me start by saying we have 4 kids and they all love Cracker Barrel. We travel all the time, and can't tell you how many we have been to. This is the second time we have ordered from here the first time was a week after it opened. Service was horrible, they could of cared less, food took forever to receive, order was incorrect & food did not taste anything like what we are use to and all this with no apology. We didn't complain figured since they were new and young hires that maybe it was just an off day because of being so new. Tonight we ordered take out, put on hold several times, and again order was wrong but this time we did not even receive part of our order. My husband called to complain, again put on hold but not to speak to the manager simply because they didn't feel like dealing with it. We asked to speak to manager after and they told us they were not available nor did they even ask what we would like to do about our missing food. They just flatly did not care. We have never had this kind of service or treatment from another Cracker Barrel, and we were happy when we found out they were building one here, unfortunately we will never be bringing our money here again. We will drive to SliDell like we always have. Pretty sad when we only live in Madisonville. If you value your money and don't like your night ruined I would stay away from here

As in real estate, it's all about location. Consider letting corporate know about your experiences there.

Good review. Thanks for pointing thats there's other Cracker Barrel Restaurants to go to. I've mostly had good experiences dining there. On a rare occasion I came across one that was subpar.

How long ago did they open? Maybe they are still in the process of working out the kinks. I usually give a place three chances before I write them off completely. Since it's close to home, you might one to give them one more try. But if nothing changed, I would definitely bid them farewell.

Cracker Barrel can be very hit and miss. I frequented several locations over 3 years.
What I found is that none of the locations was consistently good over the course of time. Therefore, I stopped going. It was frustrating to go in with fond memories of the previous visit, only to be disappointed by suddenly horrendous service and/or food preparation.

I think that location has been open about a year. The location Baton Rouge is also terrible, but the one here in Gulfport is wonderful. Not to get off topic, but Badeaux's in Madisonville has the best cherry malt. Next time I go to Abita to visit family, I must have one.

A year is more than enough time to get their act together. I guess this location just doesn't stack up.

I work at this Cracker Barrel. We actually opened up around late May/early June. Sorry to hear about the bad experience. We've gotten better since the first few months of the opening.
