Proflowers express Complaint - Beautiful tulips become red roses

Complaint
Review by silvinski_ on 2011-09-12
I ordered a specific tulip arrangement that was listed as available. To my surprise mt friend was delivered red roses. The response was that tulips are not in season eben though they listed them as available. After 2 calls and an e-mail complaint I was gven 30% off my purchase. Come on this is a scam comapny that sells what they want no matter what one orders. Think twice before ordering from them.

Assuming roses are more expensive than tulips, and that they gave you 30% off, I wouldn't consider it a scam. However, they should not have changed the order without your permission. It sounds like a poor judgment call, and it would make me think twice before ordering from them again.

Was the order filled by a local florist? I had placed an order with this type of company to send to my sister who lived out of state. The order being filled by a local florist did not have the exact flowers as listed in the arrangement.

I was however called by the florist filling the order and informed and was asked if a comparable arrangement could be substituted.

It would have been nice if they called you.
