ABC Television Complaint - No More Reality Shows

Complaint
Review by naseemwaheed98 on 2011-09-25
It is very disturbing that ABC Television does not care what their viewers want rather they are only in for the money, how disgusting. Our economy is tanking and they only care about themselves. No respect for their followers of All My Children for 41 years. I am so disappointed. It was so nice to turn on the television and see familiar faces, and some sense of normalcy in this very harsh economic time. I will not watch the CHEW, nothing against the people in it, but come on, have some respect for your long time viewers.

It is a lot cheaper to produce reality TV shows, and they deliver ratings. It seems more dramas and sitcoms are moving to the big cable stations.

I will not watch the CHEW either. All my Children fans boycott it. I feel like I have lost part of my family after of 41 years of watching it.

The reality shows are leading to the demise of many people, especially when their 15 mins of fame is all over.
Just look at the recent sucide.

Thank goodness the soaps are finally coming to an end! Terribly acted with equally poor scripts. It was reducing the mentality of housewives everywhere.

Hey, the Amazing Race starts up again tonight! ;-)

I am sick unto death of "reality" shows AND soap operas..give me "2 and a half men" every time.
When I watch TV I want to be entertained!

Everything else is a downer, particularly the "News"
which is generally ALL bad.

Oldfart...I only watch 2 and a half men once in a while...
I did find it strange that they fired Charley for doing in real life what he is protraying on the show.

Come on Old Fart! There are good reality shows out there such as:

Storage Wars
American Choppers
Myth Busters
Car Fellas
Cash Cab
Cops

I like Pawn Stars and American Pickers. They come across some really interesting stuff!

Pawn Stars and American Pickers are good shows as well.

Ya, MRM....I like all of those too, BUT;

Ever since that Sr./Jr. split, Paul Sr. acts like a whiney old lady - talking trash about Jr. and his abilities when for the previous 2 years, Paul Jr. was the one that did 90% of the designing & fabrication.

The only time you saw Paul Sr. is when he walked into the shop to gripe about something and then walk out!

And then there was the rip-off design that Paul Sr. pulled with the "Black Widow 2" bike - Paul Jr. originated the first Black Widow and then after he leaves, Paul Sr. tried to capitalize on his son's design.

Paul Sr.'s lost his touch.
I hope he loses his @ss! [He's already down-scaling to smaller shop because his business is lagging.

Soap operas are going the way of game shows on daytime TV as well. Used to be, there were at least 10-12 game shows on daytime TV...now the only ones left are Family Feud and The Price Is Right. I know that Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy are on in the evenings, and primetime TV have had their share of game shows as well, but I'm talking daytime. Eventually, all you'll see on daytime TV are endless "court" and "judge" shows, talk shows with lower-class, unrefined people in shouting/shoving/fighting matches, and any talk show host that's desperately trying to be the next Oprah (a tough act to follow.) If you have nothing better to do than watch TV during the day, maybe it's time to abandon the networks and turn to cable.

I was near a church today, and they were having a "free" car wash, evidently to recruit parishoners (weird).

What really blew my mind was that the Price is Right theme song was playing in a loop as they washed cars. I was looking around for Jim Jones hiding behind the bushes.

Hopefully it was a bikini car wash trmn8r.
