Meineke Complaint - Meineke Faulty Product and Bad Service - 4 New Tires and Balancing
4 New Tires and Balancing - Complaint
STROUDSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA -- This Guy Tom who runs the stroudsburg Meineke has been suggesting expensive services to people when they don't need them, and billing for services that have not been performed.
He tried it with us. They balanced our tires 3 times and the car shakes like a leaf at highway speeds.
We had them balanced elsewhere, and found out that Meineke did not have them in balance at all and that 3 of the four tires were faulty. they refused to replace them and would not reimburse us for any of the balancing services. While I was in the waiting room a man came back twice to say "are you sure you did the work, it looks the same to me, and my check engine light is still on". So they are pulling this stunt with other people as well. We are not the only ones.
STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE.
It is only a matter of time before this guy loses everything DUE TO HIS UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES, faulty product and inadequate service.

You didn't state how many miles you drove on the new tires before you had them balanced by the 2nd repair service. If you did drive them in an unbalanced condition for an extended period, this will cause the tread to scallop, and might even cause belt separation. So maybe there was nothing wrong with those tires when new, and it was all damage due to the unbalance, just saying...
