NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE -- 2-21-2-12 I was at Dillards shopping. I had purchased a pair of Besty Johnson shoes for 139.00 And the shoes bottom of the shoe was falling apart underneath. I only had the shoes for 3 day. I had also purchase bcbg giannie bini jessica simpson besty johnson an dresses and they were falling apart. Dillards are selling knock off these clothing brand are not top brands name. I had brought this matter to customer services and they had a problem accepting my items. I explain to them that these was fraud in that I want my money back or they can hear from my attorney. They refund my money back but I know better in the future not to do any business with them never again in I hope this information will be help to someone else. Dillards is lying to their customers about the brands they are not selling you real name brand clothes or shoes they are knock offs. Buyers beware this dillard is located at Nashville TN at Green Hill Mall. Do not shop there they are a fraud.

Could it be that the quality of those brands has gone downhill, and it has nothing to do with Dillard's?

I'd be alarmed at the poor quality as well. But I'd hesitate to accuse a national chain of selling fake merchandise.
Just going out on a limb but it might be possible that the brand in question is marketing a lower cost line of items specifically to Dillards, but I am unfamiler with the brands in question.

I have to agree with the others. Those are some pretty heavy accusations you're throwing around. Like the others mentioned, it's far more likely, they Dillards stocks a lower cost version of the items. It's not an uncommon practice. A good example is tires. Wal-Mart and Sam's Club sells Goodyear-branded tires that you won't be able to find anywhere else, even at a Goodyear store or on Goodyear's website. These are tires that Goodyear builds (to a price) exclusively for Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. It's very possible the same scenario is playing out with your Dillard's bought Besty Johnson-branded items.

If you bought them 3 days ago then why did you have to threaten them with attorney to get your money back?

Except for with thrift stores or sales that are "as is" I have never had a problem with any store taking back (even multiple)things that had a problem after 3 days.
