Verizon Wireless - 1/2 the Data

I am very happy with both Apple and Verizon Wireless, but I did learn something this week. My daughter's 2-year contract was up on her phone and she wanted the new iPhone. I've seen a few Verizon Wireless commercials and decided to upgrade while the 4 gigabytes of data was being offered for the same price as the 2 gigabytes they normally require ($30 per month). What I found out is that this offer does not apply to the iPhone. According to the representative, Apple will not allow them to offer the 4 gigabytes of data for the same price as 2 gigabytes.
I still bought the phone and my daughter loves it; the majority of her data usage is over wifi and this won't be a major issue, just a slight disappointment.

This is very good to know! My data is grandfathered because I have had unlimited data for as long as I can remember. If they ever try to cut me to 4GB or 2GB, I will get rid of the smartphone and go back to using two tin cans and a string.
