Ihop - For All You Complainers!

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- If anyone is complaining about food from ihop other than their breakfast, your an idiot! It's not the international house of shrimp or the international house of milkshakes! It's the international house of freaking pancakes! The mashed potatoes are microwaved! The broccoli is microwaved! The mac and cheese is microwaved! And the freaking oat meal is made from an instant packet right before your food is taken out! Most of the people that come in there to eat expect so much! Don't get me wrong, a customer does deserve great service. But when ya'll start whining about how your "shrimp" from the INTERNATIONAL HOUSE OF PANCAKES sucks, you need to be shown to the door and have that plate of food thrown at the back of your head! Even if the servers there do a great job, they only end up getting $2 or $3 tips on checks that usually average out to be $25! When your busting your [snip] for picky [snip]s and are still able to keep a smile on your face, $3 is NOT worth it. So do us all a favor; STAY HOME AND EAT! Ihop is not a fancy steak house. Get over it!

Some people do complain just to get free meals you know. Or because they are fussy. Some have real good reasons to complain.

Well, i hope i dont get a server who thinks i deserve a plate thrown at the back of my head when i go to ihop! When i pay for my food, i expect it to be edible. I dont expect it to be 5 star food, but if its burnt or if its not fully cooked, i have a valid complaint. If its not breakfast food, i have the right to complain about it.

Also, with your attitude, i would suggest you tone it down a little bit. Maybe a lot of people don't tip you very well because of that. Just a suggestion though. Even though it may be hard to smile and be friendly all the time, try to suck it up and remember it is a job and you need to do it to earn a living but dont take it out on the customers when you have a bad day and one bad customer spoils it. I know it sounds rather rude of me to suggest this, but if you hate your job, then work somewhere else. I have worked in restaurants and i just sucked it up. As far as tips go, its sad that people expect to be tipped, even if they don't work that hard for it and aren't very friendly, than to actually work for it now a days. I tip yes but if someone is awful, i won't.....I think a tip should be earned. Yes a tip is part of your pay, i understand that. But my money is limited and if i feel a server is just downright rude, then they don't deserve the tip. If a tip just handed to a waiter, like ruby tuesdays gratuity charges, then some people tend to get lazy and get an attitude, or take their sweet time and expect their tip. Which i think is wrong.

I usually leave about a 15 percent tip, more if the service is exceptional to my expectations. Im not rich, i figure 3-5 bucks for a 25 dollar bill is about average. That is what i tip too. If thats lousy to you, then i wonder what a nickel tip would be like to you. My brother worked at dominoes and someone gave him a nickel as a tip!

You're preaching to the choir baby. I've been saying for years people should avoid Ihop. Shoot, I'd rather eat from a vending machine on a turnpike rest stop than venture into an Ihop. Outstanding reveiw!!!

If Ihop cannot do things other than pancakes to a minimal level of quality perhaps they should stick to pancakes.
