General Motors - Is anyone else having problems with their gm card since it was switched to Capital one?

Review by bobbymi on 2012-05-17
I have been sent new cards, but neither the new or the old work. The charges are rejected and when I call they say they couldn't find any problem, try it again. Now they say they think my request is fraudulent. I retired in 95, but they wanted my work phone number to verify who I was. Got "very confused" because I didn't have the card with me on a trip after it was rejected twice. Couldn't get me a supervisor, couldn't get me a person in the United States, couldn't give me a number for GM, etc. Looks like GM will be on its way to another bankruptcy unless they start acting like they care about their customers. I have three GM cars, but they are my last ones. Is this GM or Capital One causing the problem? Is anyone else having a problem with them?

The way I read your complaint, you have a card branded GM but issued by Cap One. Therefore, I don't see any relation to cars. Maybe I am wrong, but it sounds exclusively like a Cap One issue.

If there were issues getting a card to work, and then possibly a fraud alert triggered because of them, I would think that in time (month?) this could be worked out. What advice did they last give you? Have you been able to convince them of who you are? That may be the issue at this point.
