DON'T do business with this company (MBNA). I have been a cusotmer for over 15 years. My credit rating is in the high 700's, I have never had any late payments, and I pay my account in full every month. The interest rate is still incredibly high. Why would anyone want to do business with this company? When they lose all their customers and can't pay their own bills, I hope their creditors charge them a 99.9% interest rate. This company should be shut down.

I have an MBNA card. Been a customer for over 7 years. They are QUICK to charge a $25 late fee if you miss one minimum payment. That along with the fact that they offer no reward program what so ever, I think I will be dropping them soon.

I would recommend Discover card. Great reward program.

I agree 110% ... They charge up the interest rates on thier good customers to make up for all the write offs of the deadbeats. They also offer all kind of "breaks" for the deadbeats with horrible credit history with MBNA, offering to remove late charges, SIF's etc...it's ashame that in this day and age it the responsible, honest people are the ones to get punished! I got a late fee from MBNA for a payment I sent two weeks before the due date...when I called they said they don't go by the date stamped at the post office, but the date they enter the payment. I asked them, "So, if someone decides to leave my payment sit on their desk for a week o... more >>

I'd say cancel it but you pay your account in full each month, so it really doesn't matter what your interest rate is. Having an open account for 15 years in good standing is a big plus for your credit rating.

    I did!!!!
Cancel that card and pay it off!
I have 0-Zero...credit cards now. Debit card from USBANK that draws interest and is even free to get the account.
They give you your first set of checks free too.
I am so glad I am out of the CC debt and using other means for payment when a CC is needed.

Interest rates go up with inflation like everything else - check your terms and conditions! I've worked for them for 5 years now and agree with the charges and the interest rates. Its credit for goodness sake - its not your money! If it was a bank account doing this to you then yes i'd be angry, but its not, you are borrowing it!
A credit score of 700 is a bad score just to let you know, mbna tend to approve them but the interest is higher as you are classed as a risk - rightly!
check with your bank regarding how long a payment take, its the same for every human in this world!
