Applebees - Veterans Day Meal

TAOS, NEW MEXICO -- I want to say "Thank You"!! The entire staff me me feel like a special Veteran. I can not say enough about the entire time I was there having my Veterans Day free meal. It was wonderful to be treated in such a special way! In the end a teenage girl handed me a hand written card, thanking me for my service to our Great Country. The card brought tears to my eyes, as it was the first time I had received such wonderful words. All I could do was think of the 9 months I laid in a Navy Hospital and was not treated with dignity. I was 19 years old and all alone through some horrific surgries. Thanks again Taos Applebees for making this Veterans Day special for me!

My father was in the Army during WWII, and my grandfather was a cook on a battleship in WWI. An Uncle who served on an aircraft mother ship in the Pacific in WWII and an uncle who was a Marine in Korea. A most grateful thank you to all the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. I don't want to forget our daughter, who was in the Marines in Saudi during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Semper Fi, oooorah!
