Ebay - Great company

return/refund - Compliment

I purchased an item from a fraudulent seller. I filed a complaint online with eBay and literally within minutes they had emailed me an apology and issued an immediate refund (shipping also). I'm sure the 45 dollars means nothing to the massive eBay corporation, but it does mean a lot to a customer to have them issue that so promptly because of a bad seller. It's the first time I've run into a case like this (usually all the sellers are great and ship the item you purchased), and I was very surprised with how eBay handled it. I was expecting to have to just accept the loss but, nope! Thanks Ebay!

I'm surprised too.

I'm not surprised, but the system is far from perfect (unlike the Basher). Honest sellers that have done nothing wrong can also have their accounts debited quickly, and lose both the merchandise and funds due to fraudulent buyers.

"Ebay Great company". Now there is a paradox. Ever since Meg Whitman did her damage as CEO and ruined it for the sellers I have chosen to stay clear of the eBay mess.

I am happy to see the system work in the favor of the buyer in this case.

Avoid PayPal too!

You're one of the lucky ones. Ebay takes care of the buyers while screwing the sellers.

LET ME GUESS. YOU NEVER HAD TO SEND BACK THE SELLERS ITEM. TYPICAL. DID YOU EVEN HAVE TO PROVE THE SELLER GAVE YOU A FRAUDULENT ITEM? NO.
