IHOP - Worst Service Ever / Horrible Food
NY Style Cheesecake Pancakes - Complaint

BRIGHTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- I went to IHOP a couple of days ago with friends. We all ordered our food after waiting for nearly a half an hour for a waitress to come over. When the food was ready, we could see it. We started taking bets as to how long from when the cooks put out our food, the waitress was going to bring it to us. It took her 15 minutes to bring it to us. She was a little busy laughing and talking with her other waitress friends. She was working real hard obviously.
Anyways, we finally get our food and as expected it was barely even warm. We ate it anyway. The quality of the food however was horrible as well. The pancakes were paper thin, very dry, and you could barely taste the cheesecake inside because there wasn't much. Overall, if you want a good breakfast, save yourself some hassle and cook at home.

I would have sent it back and complained loudly. Excuse me if I sound ticked off but I am tired of being a "victim" in these bottom end chain joints. I spend my hard earned money and get poor service and bad food. Mostly kids working there expecting a big tip for incompetent service. Applebee's, Olive Garden, Chile's etc. expect the same results. They have all lost me as a customer. I get better food and prices from my local restaurants. The owner is there who depends on repeat business. He makes sure to get it right.

Kudos to the last comment from ok4now. We are not robots that are programmed to eat at these type of places. There are many many complaints about IHOP on this and other complaint sites,as well as Yelp. Our money speaks louder than any complaining. If we spend it at stores that perpetuate bad food and bad service,than nothing will change. I will never understand the draw of places like IHOP. Whatever folks,keep giving them your hard earned money,and keep up the complaining. But there may be hope, IHOPs same store sales have dropped for 8 quarters straight. So I guess some people are getting it.

go to a local dinner? lol these places usually have REAL food, went to ihop once, just once, could not tell the difference between ihop pancakes and mc donald pancakes their clearly micro waved
