Best Buy - Snotty Sales People

The sales person was pizzed because they lost the big commission on the extended warranty. Had you purchased it you would be subjected to the "Gunk Squad." This would have created an entire new set of problems. For a better buying experience try Amazon or Costco.

I am not suprised by the reaction of the salesperson. Aside from losing the commission, the individual is also painfully aware that this company is going the way of the horse and buggy soon. The company has just over 1000 us stores and expects to close 200 to 250 in 2013. Stock performance dropped nearly 40% in 2012. Best buy will not likely last much longer.

That's a shame. I like Best Buy. It's a great place to go and see what I should order from another website, LOL.

I actually like Best Buy but I find it best to never talk or make eye contact with their staff. I've learned the fine art of ignoring people which serves me well in places like BB.

The sales clerks are brainwashed into selling the plans from pressure tactics from mgt. They, collectively, have ZERO concept of the actual terms and conditions, which, more often than not, end up confusing or screwing the customer. These tactics, among others, are leading to the downfall of the brick and mortar consumer electronics industry. For peace of mind, purchase through Amazon, New Egg, etc.
