Motorola Informative - Bad Cell Phone - Razar V3

Razar V3
Review by kparikh82276 on 2006-06-28
60659 -- I got the Motorola Razar with my Cingular family plan. (which i'm still fight simplywireless for my rebates)
But the phone is horrible.
Sure it looks good, it's thin, stylish, but it's got limited functionality
I purchased the Razar in particular because i thought it had bluetooth. I wanted to pair up my bluetooth w/ my pda so that i can dial my contacts via my pda. Motorola doesn't support that.

I tried pairing my pda w/ another cell phone (sony erricson t610) via bluetooth and i was able to make it work.

Cingular is funny, since my T610 is tri-band i do not get full coverage w/ my cingular chip. I have to use the razar to get the coverage. So i'm stuck now w/ a phone that just well i can use to make calls.

I guess it wasn't a total loss, b/c i can still use it to make calls. But i could have opted for a cheaper phone than.

I do not recommed this phone to anyone. If you going to use it to make calls i guess it's a great phone.

But if your a techy like myself, and like to use it for it's full functionality, go w/ samsung, or sony erricson <-- for sure b/c i've used it and it works great.

believe it or not Sony Ericson T610 is a wonderful phone. If had full coverage using it, i'd pop in my chip in that phone.

I've even tried to contact support, but their reply is how to pair up the devices. I never had a problem of pairing it up. But it won't let me dial from my pda to the phone. So CS was useless so far. I plan on trying to communicate with them to resolve this problem. We'll see.

Did you research the phone before buying it to see if it had bluetooth? You can go on line usually to the makers of the phone or else your cell phone services web site and compare phones, and it would of told you right on there if it had bluetooth.I have the same phone and I think it works great, but then I have no need for bluetooth

"...I thought it had Bluetooth..." I fail to see how your erroneous thinking makes this model "bad" per your post. I have a $29 LG...it also makes/receives calls. Enjoy your new "V3". No wonder so many Americans are broke and in debt.

As a former employee of a company that sells the RAZR, I will agree with the poster. It is a great looking phone, but it has its problems as well.

I have a motorola razor v 3 with a 3.7 lithium ion battery. i have followed proper charging guidelines and useage. however it last between 5 mins and 1 hour, if i'm lucky, fully-charged.

how can i get a new battery? with MINIMAL inconvenience to me?
what guarantee that the new battery will work as it should?
how can i tell when this battery was made?

my best friend PRAISES motorola but i have had nothing but problems with them, and their (explative deleted) phones. why i keep buying motorola phones is beyond me. i must be pretty dumb, stoopid or gullabale. the next time i buy a phone i doubt very much it will be a motorola... granted i love the look & feel of the razor but gosh a phone needs to work, too! i'm really not surprised that motorola who makes crappy phones teamed up with t-mobile who has EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE.

Im sorry but thats really stupid! If you want a PDA go buy a PDA and only use it as a PDA; the motorola V3 is meant to be used as a cell phone so just use it as a cell phone; stop complaining about something so ridiculous

Just because you cant hook your PDA to your phone doesnt mean its an aweful phone. I have that phone and there are things wrong with it based on the durability compared to Nokia but your compliant isnt valid.

Molly Dolly Not respecting me... I did mention that it was a good phone for making calls. Read the review please. I'm not debasing it b/c it can make phone calls. i'm debasing it b/c Motorola should have put in the right and proper configurations on this phone so that it worked properly. Not just make phone calls. So this post was really for techy's like myself.

I had a similar problem. The phone was thru tmobile and it only worked for 7 or 8 months. I had pictures of my newborn on them and it took me almost 1 1/2 to get someone to assist me. I purchased a cord to download the pics off of and it wouldn't work because you had to have software that wasn't available to me to do it. I contacted support and told them I no longer go through the company I purchased the phone from. They ignored that part of my email and told me to go where I bought the phone. That email came about six times before they told me I had to purchase software to do what I needed. They said there was nothing they could do. I finally told them that if this is how they treat their customers I will make sure everyone knows about it. They decided that there was a piece of software that they could send me for free but only once. God for bid it cost them so much! Especially when I paid over 150 dollars for the crappy phone.
