Cheating, Scam of a Company

PLAINSFIELD, INDIANA -- My son-in-law just started on the side (and was told all this money he would make in commission). He asked me if I would like to try ACN that I would save money on my phone bill each month and all I would need to do is pay $21.19 to sign up. Well I felt it was okay. I was told when I received the equipment to connect to my adapter that I had with Xfinity.

But I noticed that they had me with a new telephone number, of which I didn't feel I could connect at that time due to my husband just passing away and I would be receiving quite a number of calls and it would be impossible for me to contact people with this change. Therefore, I did not connect this adapter at that time. It was on 12/22/14 this equipment was shipped to me and it was received on 12/26/14. It was 1/6/15 my phones were cut off by Xfinity.

I called and they told me there was a request that my phones were changing. I had not contacted Xfinity, but ACN had requested this change without my knowing. The end result was I was without any phone service at all. It was at this time I requested Xfinity to reconnect my phones since I had not authorized ACN to have them to disconnect since I was not using their equipment.

I called ACN to let them know I wanted to cancel. I had already been charged $21.19 on 12/22/14, $35.45 on 12/27/14 and on 1/6/15 $133.35 cancellation fee. They informed me I could not return the unused equipment. Furthermore, as of today 1/26/15 they have the nerve to display a charge of $3.00 in pending status until further charges have been applied. I have no idea what this means since I was unable to talk with a person due to high call volume.

I had already canceled service and they charged me $133.35 for early cancellation fee and it had not even been thirty days. I don't see how they can do this since I was originally told by my son-in-law (who was also new at this) that if it did not work out I could get my money back. I am not blaming him because they pretty much did him the same way. He didn't get his commission check they promised.

I am so tired of dealing with these people who think they can do whatever they want and get away with it. Is there anything one can do to stop this type of business from going on? I am sure I am not the only one this has happened to. I did not even have 30 days to decide if this was for my situation. Come to find out they were more expensive than Comcast. I am disappointed that we have people who will take advantage of older adults, especially when just lost my husband.

I tried to explain my situation, but they made no exceptions. I feel taken advantage of. This seems to be dishonest. And I would like to make anyone who has been or is approached by a salesperson from ACN to beware and know that if you sign up for their service you will be charged a sign up fee, $21.19, a monthly fee $35.45, and because I canceled service, early cancellation fee $133.35 - all totaling $159.99. As of today 1/26/15, another charge of $3.00 is in pending status on my credit card of which there is no explanation. Unable to reach by phone due to high call volume.

Trying to Get a Refund

LONDON -- Here's my experience with ACN. I recently checked out ACN, it is a "Multi Level Marketing" scheme, very similar to pyramid selling. Although it's not a scam, looking at how the business works, you can definitely make money, but it is not as easy as they make out. It all basically relies on you selling a couple services then recruiting other sellers to recruit others and so on and so on. From all the information I looked at, it can make money, but requires a lot of recruiting.

My issues are that they try to get you to purchase a SIM card contract, a weight loss package and gas and electric or broadband, a long distance call box - this is basically so you become "qualified" immediately then you can recruit other sellers and get them to do the same and for them to recruit other sellers under them. Also this is the BIG ISSUE, I quickly cancelled my membership within the 7 days, so they should not have debited the "trainer fee" money of £390. They have debited the money, even though their reply to my cancellation request states:

"Please be assured that the cancellation request date will be from the date that a valid cancellation is received by ACN and not the date on which it is processed." And also, "If your cancellation was sent within the trial period (7 calendar days from the agreements' effective date) the Success System Team Trainer fee will not be processed by us." They still deducted the fee.

The email addresses (they have multiple email addresses) get no response and also the phone number just leads to various options of automated messages. I am still yet to speak to a representative. I am waiting to see if they refund the amount they should have never debited, but I am not sure what will happen. So please be aware of the no charge within 7 days cancellation.

ACN and its Culture of Hype, Deception and Guilt

CALIFORNIA -- I was recruited into ACN by a family member who I like and respect. She asked me if she could hold a business meeting at my place to show me a great business opportunity that would help me become an independent business owner, and asked that I invite at least 5 or 6 friends or people I knew. When I asked her about it she said it was a franchise and that I would be investing in it and I would get awesome returns very quickly. I thought it sounded great, though I was skeptical at first. But then I reasoned that it must be investing in stock from this franchise.

At the meeting she proceeded to show us a DVD presentation of the company, the business model, and the potential profits you can make. She went on to explain how everything works. It was interesting that she refused to answer questions anyone had. She'd only say that questions would be answered later and continued with the presentation. Every time someone would ask something they would either get an evasive answer, or told to ask later (I would later learn that that is a trained tactic that you have to used to keep people focused and to get them to listen to everything first). Then she mentioned that to sign up you have to pay a one-time sign-up fee of $499! That's when she lost everybody. No one was interested in spending that kind of money, especially in this economy! But she hyped it up saying that it was nothing compared to the returns you could get. Then she began to outline the business model.

Here is how it works ( Mind you, you find out about all this only after you pay the $499 fee and start building up a recruiter will never disclose these details until they have your signature on a contract and you turned in your money): Once you pay the $499 fee to sign-up, you're officially in, as a TT (Team Trainer) but you're not qualified yet! In order to qualify, you have to first purchase their flagship product, a Video Phone that connects to the Internet (after all you have to have the product to demonstrate, right?). The Video Phone costs over $100, plus a $30 monthly service fee (forget SKYPE and MSN and all the others that you can use for free!). You do that, and you're still not qualified. You have to have 3 services with ACN, so in addition to the Video Phone, you have to switch over 2 services of your choice from your regular providers (Cell phone, Internet, Home Security, Land-line phone, etc.) to ACN! Plus, you have to dish out another $30 a month to maintain your own ACN website! Wow, pay all that and only now you're qualified and are a representative at their first level, QTT! Oh, and there's also a $150 annual membership fee to stay with the company (but no one tells you this... I found out on my own after doing my research!).

So now the fun started. Actually, I didn't even sign-up myself. She did. She used her credit card to pay the fee as I wouldn't have money until my next paycheck. That's how much she wanted me to join, so now I felt somewhat obligated to at least give it an honest try. Needless to say, no one else at that meeting signed-up.

I quickly learned that she and everyone above her were my "up line" (the ones that would train and mentor me in my "business") and that in order to succeed, earn cash bonuses and move up the ranks, I had to build a "down line" of people under me. That means I had to recruit, recruit, recruit, and then help those I recruited recruit others under them, and they afterwards and so on. At the same time, I had to make sure they all bought the Video Phone and switched over their services in order for them to qualify and for me to earn customer points (I could also get those by re-selling services to customers from all the major cell phone, DSL, land line and home security companies). The bigger the "down line" and the more "customer points", the higher your rank level (you have to earn each level one a time before you can earn the next one):

Level 0: TT - Team Trainer (Entry level)
Level 1: QTT - Qualified Team Trainer
Level 2: ETT - Executive Team Trainer
Level 3: ETL - Executive Team Leader
Level 4: TC - Team Coordinator
Level 5: RD - Regional Director
Level 6: RVP - Regional Vice President
Level 7: SVP - Senior Vice President

What really gets you is that they tell you that at first your main income will be bonuses for recruiting and earning customer points, and after that if you build up your "down line" and get more and more people to switch services, you eventually earn a lot of money through residual income (a percentage of people's bills from these services goes to you). Sounds too good to be true? Sounds like a MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) Pyramid scheme? It totally is on both counts!!!

I have to admit that I smelled the rat early on, but it was too late. I'd already invested my money and felt obligated to my family member so I was determined to make it work. I started organizing meetings to which hardly anyone came, and after several weeks of trying I was only able to recruit 2 of my friends (I feel guilty about that even today). My "up line" did her best to come and try and help me out, but it turned out to be futile as none of the people I knew had $499 to spare and they'd all bail out as soon as they put 2 and 2 together and figured out it was a MLM Pyramid scheme.

This type of business model can end up alienating you from family and friends because the first thing a recruiter will tell you is to make a list of all the people you know and start inviting them (obviously, if you know people with money, much better)and if they refuse to keep bugging them until they come. Then you need to do everything in your power to convince them to sign up - of course, after you have been meticulously trained on how to do it. Needless to say, Team Trainers are required to attend a lot of training meetings and seminaries so they can be "qualified" to train others. Of course, each one costs an expensive entry fee. Your "up line" will tell you over and over again to follow the system and that you absolutely must attend the trainings because there is a certain way to do things and get results and if you do it on your own, you will fail. They tell you that you can't do it unless you are trained first (brainwashed would be a better word you are brainwashed to think ACN is the best thing in the world and you are trained meticulously on how to get people to part with $499 and everything else!)

And here I come to the other part of this company that really bugged me The training events! To begin with they all cost money with the International 3-day events that take place in major cities costing about $150 (not including transportation, food and lodging of course you pay those on your own!). I had to attend several regional trainings and meetings and all they were about was just hype, hype, hype, rah, rah, rah, and TCs and RVPs trying to convince and recruit attendees to sign up for this "tremendous business opportunity"! Of course there were a lot of positive testimonies (some even tearful) about how good this was, how their lives changed, blah, blah, blah (great actors, I must say!). Then they would go on to tell stories on how they recruit people and how stupid and foolish where those who refused to sign-up because they were not "seeing the light" and were "unbelievers" and too lazy and contented with their mediocre lives (at that point to me it sounded like the type of pitch a cult would use). I totally felt that they encouraged a culture of superiority and browbeating. They would say in those stories how those that refused to sign up and take advantage of the opportunity were stupid and losers, and they would laugh at them and feel sorry for them. I have to say I did not like this one bit.

Then my "upline" (my family member and original recruiter) calls me up one day to tell me I should go to the International event in Charlotte, NC (I live in CA) the following weekend. Of course, I can't afford such a trip at the time, so she tells me that she'll cover everything (airfare and hotel) herself, but that I need to go because I couldn't miss this, it was the greatest opportunity of my life, and so on All I had to pay for was the $150 ticket to the event. So she books me on the red-eye flight to Charlotte that Friday night. She has me travel with another of her recruits. We get there at around 6 am or so and our hotel is not ready because check in is not until 10 or so. So we go to get some breakfast and wait until check-in time. Finally, I get to my room. I'm sooo sleepy as I haven't slept since the day before! I go to bed at and have less than 2 hours as the first meeting at the Time Warner Arena starts at 12. I make it there, and I 'm astounded at the sheer number of people!!! The place was packed to capacity with thousands of hyped-up ACN members!

I was part of our regional team, and we all sat together. Well, that first day was about 8 hours of training, testimony, hype, rah rah rallies, and more training (no breaks or lunch I had to go on my own against the scowls of my teammates for missing out!) By the time is over I'm beat. We go to dinner and I find out from the team leader and my "upline" that everyone in the team is expected to be at the Arena's door lining up at 4:30 am to get the best seats! Never mind the thing didn't start till 8. When I protested, I was literally belittled in front of everyone for being lazy, that I couldn't miss it, that it was too important, that it was my future, etc. blah, blah in other words, I was made to feel guilty about protesting for my right to get a couple of more hours of shut-eye. How dare I when ACN was the most important thing? Didn't I know that personal needs go out the window?

By the time I make it to bed it's like 11 pm. Only about 4 hours to sleep. This was already Saturday and I hadn't had a full night's sleep since Thursday night! The next day I was up with the rest of them (against my better judgment and the fact that I was already exhausted) at 4:30 at the Arena's gates. We waited for over 2 hours before they opened the doors. Finally we went in and spent the next 12 hours (from 8am 8pm) listening to more training, testimony, hype, rah rah rallies, more training, and over emotional award ceremonies. Only a half-hour lunch break all day. When it was over, I thought I'd finally get to go to my room early and sleep! But to my horror we are told that we are all going to another hotel for a super important after meeting with our whole regional team (about 300 people or so) and we couldn't miss it. I soooo protested again and was again belittled with the guilt trip. So we go.

I can hardly keep my eyes open. At that meeting it was just more of the same! Pep, pep, hype, hype, rah, rah I was so sick of it! It's like they want to drain out everything out of your brain and stuff it only with ACN so you can't think about anything else! It's literal, intense brainwashing!!! I try to get up and get out only to be stopped by my companions. I can't understand how they don't seem to be as tired as I am! Finally I just get up and go to the back. My "upline" tries to stop me and I tell her I have a headache and need to step out. I find a couch right outside the doors of that hotel ballroom where we were, and of course I'm so exhausted it doesn't take me long to doze off. Then my "upline" comes and sees me and she wakes me up. I never saw her so mad! She got all on me about how dare I do that when I have this opportunity, that I can't be missing out, that it's too important blah, blah. By that time I shut her and everything else out.

I managed to stay awake (but like a zombie) until everything was finally over at 11, and they still wanted to go to dinner! I excused myself and said I'd rather go back to the hotel to bed. They reminded me that the next day (Sunday) was the last day and they again wanted to line up at 4:30. This time I put my foot down and said "No way!". More belittling, more guilt trips, but I wouldn't bite. So they finally said that I could do whatever I wanted and good luck finding a seat the next day. I finally went to bed at around 12 and was up at 7 (thing started at 7 with a religious service as it was Sunday, and the actual closing meeting started at 9). I got a good 7 hours of sleep, but I was still tired as I had a lot of sleep debt! I got to the Arena around 8:45 and the closing meeting went on until 2 pm when everything was finally over!

After that, my upline tried to talk to me about how I would benefit from all this, how it was for my own good, how it was my great opportunity, etc. But I was done. At that moment I decided that ACN and all it's hype and exhausting training and sales pitches and recruiting schemes definitely were not for me.

I went home and put all my ACN stuff away for good. And I don't regret it one bit! The only reason I put up with it all is because I felt obligated because she paid for everything. But to me, it's not worth it. I lost my money, and nearly got ill with over-exhaustion. It took me one full week to feel recovered and finally refreshed.

ACN is a Pyramid MLM scheme that will not work for the vast majority of people that sign-up. The business model may make sense on paper, but doesn't really work in the real world unless you know a lot of people with money already who want to try something new. Plus, you have to be passionate about selling and have no scruples about convincing people to come up with all that money even when you know they are most likely to fail, and you have to have the willingness and the ability to endure those endless trainings and events. Yes, I will allow that there is a very small number of people who actually make it somewhat work for them, but that is the total exception. They are those who don't do anything else but that and live and breathe ACN. ACN is definitely not for everyone.

It is a type of scheme that will drain you of your money faster than you can think. You will lose a lot before you start making even the smallest amounts, if any. Yes, I see it as a scam (though there are those that say it is not because Donald Trump endorses it - yeah right, pay a guy a few millions and he'll endorse anything - it's good for business!). My best advice? DO NOT SIGN UP UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! You'll work your butt off, dish out money, get super exhausted, and not see a penny come back until you at achieve at least TC status! And that can take forever! Stay clear of ACN and go find a real job or start a real business of your own!

As for my "upline" I think she's still with them. I don't blame her though. I know she had my best interests at heart and she was more than genereous with me. It was my fault for not saying "no" right away. Plus, I was going through hard times and at first it sounded good. But it definitely wasn't for me. I do wish her the best of luck and I still love and respect her, but I wouldn't get back into this for anything in the world!

Super Service - No Pressure and Perks as Well

CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA -- Not even sure how I found this site. But I noticed that there were a lot of challenges. For me, it has been great. A friend asked if I was interested in saving some cash on the bills I am paying already. I was intrigued so I said yes. He came over and we got online and he showed me his store, working in 21 countries. So, we go into a spot where it shows what's available where I live and there is phone and internet, cell phones and TV. At least that is what I was interested in. I signed up for the digital phone and internet right away and they have been working for me now for the last 4+ years, never a problem with service, bandwidth or billing.

What I really like most about these is the two programs ACN has for these products. When I referred some folks to the Internet and phone services, once 5 of them signed up for them, my services are now free. I have not seen that deal anywhere else. But the one I like the most is when the bill comes each month, showing $0.00 owing, ACN takes a bit of their profit and pays for a meal for a hungry child right here in the USA. I can say they pay for it because this program started two years ago and as I have been a Customer for over 4 years, the cost of my services has not increased since the start of this program. I think it is called Project Feeding Kids.

Next was my cell phone. They have a page where you put in the model and plan you want and then you get the pricing from like 6 companies all at once so you can compare and choose the one that is the least expensive, has the most internet per month or whatever you want. It was so easy to make a choice. And now they have the same referral program for cell phones. I only need two more referrals and my cell will be free too. And I am not a representative for the company. I never paid no $500 to start my own business. But since these services have been really no-brainer choices, I am thinking about talking to my representative about starting up.

EUGENE, OREGON -- I've checked just about every company on this site, and it seems like this site is just a complainer's paradise. The average rating for any of these businesses seems to be 1 star. Well, my husband and I learned about ACN from a church member friends whom we know and love, and we love it! LOVE IT! We had T-mobile and the service was awful. Customer service went very downhill since I signed up with them 10 years ago.

When I bought my house outside of town we only had access to WI-FI calling (and not very good Wi-Fi either because CenturyLink can only provide us 1.5 Mbps out here) but we still had to pay $120 for T-Mobile service. We powered through it for a year before ACN. When our friends came out to our house she had perfect reception! Full bars! She explained when I was stunned, (honestly) everything she paid into it to get a store. She didn't push, coerce or lie to me.

She told me she's currently no longer paying a monthly fee for her phone because she's added some friends and family. She also ran through the cost of starting and maintaining a store if I ever decide to open one. And then she offered to do a presentation if I decided I wanted to. She left the ball totally in our court. My husband (who couldn't get Wi-fi on his phone, or service out at our home) switched first to test the waters.

It's been a month now and he has had reception everywhere we've gone. His phone works better than mine now, and I find myself using his instead of mine. Oh how the tables have turned. I have already called to switch out our internet service. Since I'm paying full price at CenturyLink for high speed and only able to get 1.5 Mbps. It's the same price, same speed, but comes with a landline house phone, and gives us one additional service to add to our list for our discounted cell phone.

Perhaps we are pleased because we were not expecting to run a business. We are not expecting to receive something without working for it. Perhaps we are happy because we were not lied to and deceived by our so-called friends who are trying to manipulate us so they can get free services or money. Whatever the case, we are very happy. As soon as I can trade my phone over to a Verizon version of my phone, I'll be switching my service over to ACN also, and I'll be able to escape the clutches of T-mobile.

Not For Me

GLEN BURNIE, MARYLAND -- I really don't want to give ACN a rating because based on my perception of the company, it is not for me. If you have $500.00 to invest in a company and the passion to get others involved in the company's vision, then by all means go for what you know; however, I like to hear all the facts. I don't like when people try to persuade you into doing things without really knowing the plan and then try to make you feel inadequate if you don't see things their way.

Today was my first big training meeting that I attended with someone who initially advised me about ACN. There was one other meeting that I attended, but it was a small informal meeting at; I guess, a mentor's house. Anyway, it seems as though they hype you up for something by always looking on the positive side about things; even getting God involved. Like, it's okay if you don't know a lot of people or if your family lives in another state. We are going to help you anyway.

I'm sorry, I want my own business and I want to make extra money. But to ask me up front to give $500.00 to join and then later after I have invested, you are going to require me to pay additional fees; after giving you my social, credit card and a signed contract. One thing I don't like is pressure and pressure always alerts me to “Stop, don't do it. No, that is a scheme." I want to own a business in something I love and that I can say the risk was well worth it. Also, I don't want to put my friends and loved ones in a compromising situation so that I can see benefits. I don't see their vision.

To me, I see it for what it really is and to be honest, I can afford to invest $500.00 that I knew I was going to get right back because your product sells that well. For that reason, I pass. I am not a sales person. I can't tell people short descriptions of something, I tell them truth.

So, I am going to let them know that they will be purchasing a phone for $30/month, paying $500 for a initial business startup, you will become a customer by purchasing ACN, you will recruit other potential business owners to do the same to start the cycle again, you will tell others about the business but don't tell all the business, you will receive a store front that comes with an online assistant that will cost you $40/month and there are annual fees. Is this something that you would like to do as a business owner?

DENVER, COLORADO -- I was shown the ACN opportunity by a family member. I was a business owner for the past 20 years in the construction industry. ACN was a complete no-brainer for me...I & everyone I know has been paying for their phone, TV, internet, home security, gas & electricity for as long as I can remember. To put yourself in those billing cycles is a dream come true! I see the reviews of many who are crying wolf & the business failed them...wake up!! The business didn't fail you...you failed you!

This is a business & it requires you to run it as a business! Most of the criers have never owned their own business before & probably never will because they have been a slave for someone else their whole life! Since I have joined arms with ACN, I have retired myself from my construction business & I have broke 6 figures the past 2 years.

The ACN system is tried & true and has been working for 1000s of reps for over 20 years! They have an A+ rating BBB rating. Anyone that thinks Multi-Level Marketing is a pyramid scam, clearly shows their lack of education! MLM is one of the most powerful business model theirs is. When you are an employee, you are simply a slave building someone else's dream!

We live in "The Land of Opportunity", yet we're indoctrinated from the time we go to school..."get an education, get a job, work 40 years & retire". Good luck with that! As an ACN rep or any other MLM rep, the only thing that caps my income is my own efforts! Wake up America...a W2 employee is the old way & nearly extinct way to earn a living. There is no such thing as work place loyalty...you are simply a disposable number!

It's a Business, Not a Job People...

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- These reviews are seriously an injustice to this company of over 23 years and the MLM industry in general. If you wanted to start a business, would you have to learn about the business? How about a Verizon store or any other franchise? They have a system just like ACN. You cannot apply your previous business skill set if you were an engineer or teacher to the Home Services Model.

If you lack the language then you must learn. Problem is most people have no idea about business costs. I run a successful Real Estate business, it costs me $4,300 every month. There is no guarantee in business, there are risks and rewards. You have to be willing to learn a new skill set if you want to succeed in any business. All this non-sense about costs and training. Have you looked at the cost of a 4-year degree program, and what do you get after you graduate? You MUST have the drive to succeed. You have to make a 4-5 year commitment to learn and grow as a person or leader.

If you want success, you must attract success. Most everyday folks don't want to make those basic changes. They are busy making a living that they forfeit their futures. Listen, this is a wonderful company if you are willing to learn and grow personally and stop complaining. Don't wish it was easier, wish YOU were better. Get new skills, make a commitment and get to work! What is the alternative? Get a job, or depend on the government.

The money comes when you learn how to inspire action of others, acquire customers, understand the compensation plan, mixed with consistent effort and finally you have generated residual income that is recession proof, and will pay you for the rest of your life. It's a business concept of leverage combined with residual income. They don't teach this way of thinking in schools. There is a reason that most people quit. They quit because they choose to quit. Please!

Horrible to Work for and Horrible Services

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, UTAH -- I am not going to write much about paying to be a part of the company. I will say that they do not disclose everything before you pay. They tell you that you will make your money back and then some in the first year. They don't tell you that you have to get so many services in your home and out of your home to get it along with using a self-pity tactic to get services. I am a nurse, not a sales person. They said I wouldn't be selling anything but asking my family and friends to help me with services they already have.

Another thing, the services are more expensive going through ACN than the way my family gets them. When I brought this up, they said your loved ones should get the service through you even if it is more expensive because they love you. WHAT?

Now on the services. I signed up for TV, dig phone, and cell. The TV company was great. The dig phone service bill was going up every month very subtly. Last month they got my service mixed up with another customer. They turned off my phone and charged my account 91 dollars.

At first they argued with me that I cancelled it or someone else did. I told them I would know if I cancelled my own account. I also told them that I was the only one on the account so no one else should be able to cancel it. I was so frustrated with them arguing with me that I cancelled the service and asked for a refund. They told me I would get my money back the next billing cycle. I just called them because I have not received the refund and it's 6 days after the billing cycle. They just told me that I would get it the next billing cycle. I told them I want it now, it's already been a month. They said they will put a request in for 3 days.

I also had cell service with them. The phone I received was broken when I received it. The touch tone face was halfway off. My husband's and my phone had problems calling out 2 weeks after getting them. They also would call people randomly while sitting on the counter. My husband is a firefighter/paramedic and needs GPS to find addresses to his calls. His GPS would glitch and would send him to another place or say it could not find the address.

So I would say don't sign up to "own your own company" with ACN and do not get their services. If you are with Verizon, you can get a better deal with Costco and they have great return policy. This is the same with any of the services. When the guy came out to set up our TV, he said he hates dealing with ACN people because they never tell their customers exactly what they are getting into.

CALIFORNIA -- I purchased a cell phone through ACN to help out a family member that just signed up with them. I should have known in the beginning there was going to be problems but I overlooked it. When I first ordered my phone, I wanted to make sure that I could transfer my current number to the phone. I was told yes, that wouldn't be a problem so I ordered the phone.

It was about 3 weeks since I placed my order and I hadn't received the phone. I went through the email - where is my order - and received no response. So after another week which ended up being a month total, I called them just for them to tell me that they no longer carried that phone and I needed to choose a different one. I was bothered why nobody called me and tried to cancel at that time, but was told I already paid for the phone.

So now at this point I am feeling forced to buy the phone. Their prices had changed at this point and since I was giving them anymore money, I had to settle for a Galaxy 4 Mini. When I received the phone, I called to get my number transferred and was told that I couldn't because when I buy the phone, it already comes with a number. I told them I was told I could change the number and I was told that if I changed my number, I would be charged for making changes to my account in the first 90 days.

I then asked why I was being charged separate from my phone bill for my insurance and they told me that's how it is. Moving forward 8 months later I lost my phone. I called to figure out what I need to do to replace it just to find out my phone was not covered because the insurance company they had went out of business.

No one ever called me to let me know there was an issue with the insurance and I gave permission for the payments to be taken out automatically monthly. When trying to figure out what needs to be done, every number that I called for ACN said it was not their problem - they would give me another number two of the numbers that they gave me were bogus. Long story short, I ended up having to pay full price to get a phone because I couldn't cancel my contract with the carrier that was separate. My advice is don't use ACN, they are misleading and their customer service is awful...
