T60 Thinkpad Laptop - Compliment
Just got my new IBM T60 ThinkPad laptop for work. I didn't buy it, so not sure the price. I think they are a bit expensive. But this thing works great! Very quiet, doesn't get hot. I have the extended battery which seems to last about 5 hours. I just ran it for an hour while using wireless and video projection and it still has almost 4 hours left! My last one was the T40, which was a dog on performance, booted up slow, shutdown slow, was noisy and hot. Great improvement IBM! (or should I say Lenovo, they bought IBM's PC division last year I think).

I 100% agree. I had Dell laptops for years. Then after coming to this site and finding out why the purchase I was trying to make from Dell at that time was so stressing, I looked at IBM Thinkpads. Bought it for about $2500 and it has been worth every cent. Reliable, consistent performance and as you said, long battery life, a real important aspect as I use t for my work. It is also very durable. I beat and bang my computers pretty bad, unintentionally of course. Just keeps plugging along. I will say I never had to call tech support so I cant comment on that, but heck, if the thing works all the time, tech support is no biggy. Enjoy your new computer.
