Pet Paradise Informative - Pomeranion review by ex-employee - Pomeranian purchased by Ex-Employee

Pomeranian purchased by Ex-Employee
Review by Puppiesplus on 2006-10-26
ENGLISHTOWN, NEW JERSEY -- I must respond to this fictious complaint from a child. The little girl who wrote this was upset with her parents because they returned the puppy. The puppy was found fit for sale and the ex employee had tried several times to purchase it but could not for one reason or another (her age, money, ect.) When she finally convinced her Father to purchase it they returned it 5 days later. Her Father and Mother returned it because the smell of the dog going to the bathroom was bad! The ex-employee called an hour before she was scheduled to work and quit. She said to me " she could not take seeing her puppy" They only purchased the puppy because the ex-employee begged them for the puppy and she got it, but her perents did not want in and returned it. When I called the parenmts and asked them why she would do this they said "I can not help you and then called to make sure they get the refund for the puppy. Some People just should not have a pet.

Thanks for sharing your side of the story...

There's always 2 sides... People always hear the horror part, the false stuff.. before people judge, you gotta look at both sides.

Yes Ginger...it's always best to hear both sides of the story...I'm not to judge which side of the story is true, but I respect both parties for their input.

It's easier to play "Solomon" if you only hear one side.

How are we to know this is truly the other side of the story?
Posted by DebtorBasher on 2006-10-26:
Well, we know it isn't the same side.

Well you either know it or you don't honestly. In reality "who knows" really. As is, there are always 2 sides and the case in point here is you only hear the bad stuff and back up the bad stuff... I used to work at a different pet store in a different area so I'm used to reading this kind of thing. I witnessed a lot, and as someone who has done a lot of research and experienced it first hand I hope I know a little bit.

I'm wondering which is the little girl? The first poster sounded more grown up than this one, and it sounds like this one is defending the pet shop because she works there. Why would the other poster go and write all that if it weren't true?

Am I too naive?
Posted by GingerSnappz on 2006-10-27:
What do you mean?
Posted by Leela on 2006-10-27:
DB, what I really should have asked is, although both sides appear here, How do we know with which side the truth lies?
Posted by DebtorBasher on 2006-10-27:
We don't know, emt c....but two sides are better than one...oh wait...that's heads...

first of all-whenever you have a young person (ages17-18) coming into a store wanting to purchase a living, breathing baby and they live at home with their parents-everyone must realize whats bound to occur....they will take it home and give to their parents the puppy dog eyes and say 'but i need it, but i love it, but i want it...and it goes on. The parents are going to say-how much did u pay and im not having this in my house and your father is going to kill you....and so on....and most likely the parents will come back with their irresponsible child (who-by the way-just because they are 18-doesnt mean they are all grown up and knows what goes in to taking care of a puppy) When someone buys a puppy they are fully informed of all the things that can happen, what to do, when to do it....and when you leave the store and fail to do whats needed for that puppy-it then becomes the stores fault automatically. Puppies are like babies-they are susceptable to infection-their immune systems are low and its just like putting a child in day-care-they come home with terrible upper-respitory infections, colds, viruses....so why is it-when a puppy has some loose poop-people lose their minds?? Listen up people....the owners of the store do not wish that any puppy get a parasite in their stool or a kennel cough-they get those things very easily..pet store or private breeder. I have gotten my dogs from both-HEY-what do u know...I have had similar issues with both. So back to the 18yrold-when you are 18-most likely you are impulsive, spoiled, and nowadays have ADD...so you cannot focus on anything important...dont blame the store for a customers stupidity. I cannot stand young people who do something foolish and then whine and cry about it and try to turn it around....i side with PP.

I believe that this young woman is telling the truth. Maybe she should reach out to the person who wrote the Philly Story through the Asbury Park Press article written about Philly. I believe the link is http://www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061109/REPORTER03/611090323/1099
There is also another article in the Asbury Park Press relating to the sick animals sold there. That link is http://www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061109/REPORTER03/611090322/1099

I also heard that tomorrow on the Channel 2 CBS New York newscast at 6:00 p.m. there is going to be a segment on Pet Paradise.

I think that this ex-employee has a lot of information to give to the media regarding the practices of Pet Paradise. Maybe she can be helpful to the poor families who have suffered a loss.

As for the person who responded in the negative regarding this young girl and what she went through, I believe that was the owner of Pet Paradise. The same owner that all of these reviews, which are all very similar, were written about.

It is quite obvious that this "review" was made by the owner of Pet Paradise. This "review" should be considered only after reading all of the reviews about this company.

Also, read the article in the Asbury Park Press. The link is below:

Maybe that will clear things up about this company.
