My wifes 2003 Camry has a trend of needing new tires every 23,000 miles. The
customer service manager says this is normal and quotes me $680 for new tires and an alignment. I told him that this is obsurd for tires to only last 23,000 miles and there must be something wrong with the front end of the car.
He insisted that this is not uncommon and blamed it on everyhting else but the car and the servicing of the car all of which I have done at thier dealership. It's amazing how they are trained to feed you lines of numbers and tech talk to distract you from the simple fact that either their product is defective, their tires are defective, or the service that they do is inferior. He offered no help or solution at all except that I needed another set of tires and an alignment. I talked to 4 other car mechanics and they said that I was getting the shaft. Ackerman Toyota insisted that this was normal for a newer Camry to go through tires like this and that I was just going to have to pay for it. My wife and I have never had a car do this ever. Trust me, these guys make thier profit margins even bigger by screwing the innocent consumers like us. Never buy or have your car serviced by Ackerman Toyota in St. Louis, Missouri.
