NCO calls started coming months ago. I called them back with my information and explained that no one by that name lived here. She was very nice and stated that she was sorry for the call and she would remove our Phone number from the records. I felt that this would be the end of it. WRONG!!!!! The phone calls started again.

8 am phone calls and thru out the day a couple a day. Recorded messages. My husband returned one of the phone calls and the guy that answered the phone would not give him the company name and my husband told him that he needed the company name so at least he would no who he was talking too. The guy told him you are wasting my time and hung up. The next day they called back leaving another message I called them and told them our name and phone number leaving them a message telling them if they would like to speak to MR Or Mrs. _______ to call us back. They did but it was another recording. I called them again and this time a woman answered the phone I told her that I am sorry that you had called the wrong number giving her our name again and information she said you are not the Clarks I told her no and we had called before to get the number off their calling list she hung up not answering me. So is there any way to get our number off thier records. Or I am I going to be pleged with phone calls for the rest of our life? Anybody no. HELP

Change your telephone number. That is the only way to stop the calls.

If your uneducated, a convicted felon, on parole, can't get a job anyplace else NCO would like to talk with you. O'h and if you use drugs while at work you will rise through the ranks to District Manager much faster. An ability to cuss people out and have no verbal or written communication skills will also help your career chances at NCO. They called me once for someone else's debt, I had no idea why I was being screamed at, all I said was hello and some maniac went off for two minutes. Told them they had the wrong person and they screamed, yelled and cussed for another couple minutes. Filed reports with every government agency I could find a... more >>

How about contacting your phone company to register a complaint. I would see such calls as harassment. There are laws to protect us from such calls.

Superbowl - you aren't the only one... I dealt with these subhumans before as well with multiple calls for a completely invalid debt. I was told that "I needed to be payin' my bills" and "Pay your bills and we won't call you". Funny how a minimum wage worker suddenly is an expert in doling out unsolicited financial advice. I just put the phone down on the table after they called - let them talk to air. After a month it stopped. They have the wrong number & there is nothing they can do so let 'em whine.

Pearl9 I am an ex NCO employee and not proud of it. But to help you- Send a letter noitfying them to stop calling your phone number. at the bottom of your letter CC:Files, State Banking Dept. and the Federal TRade Commission. Be sure to send copies to them as well. Send it to NCO via certified mail, return receipt requested. When you get the receipt showing they have received it be sure keep it in your files and to keep pen and pad by your phone and document the date and time and namce of the collector and company that calls you after that. If they call again you file a complaint thru the state banking dept in your state and sue NCO for rest... more >>
