Baskin Robbins Complaint - Quanity Of Ice Cream

Complaint
Review by gramma on 2007-05-12
GOODYEAR, ARIZONA -- I have been buying ice cream at BR for at least 50 years. I have 13 grandkids and one great granchild so that's lots of ice cream. There is a store here on Van Buren in Goodyear Arizona that is the worst store I have been into. Really was a disgrace to the Baskin Robbins name. In the past few months they have cleaned it up, put up new signs and it does look better. Did not see any dirt etc like before. Twice I have ordered hot fudge sundaes in there and got warm chocolate syrup. I know the difference between fudge and syrup. The scoops of ice cream are really a scam. I have ordered enough chocolate fudge ice cream to know a regular scoop from a junior and this store seems to know only one size "skimpy", but the price is for a regular of course. My husband would not let me raise cain with the franchisee tonight(he was standing in the back room sneaking a look at what his team was doing and they look scared to death of him) because there were too many people in the store so I decided to do this instead. It really aggravates me because I love BR. (I have a grandaughter that works for Coldstone and she can't convert me)

I understand how frustrating that is. Have you noticed it's not just Baskin?? A brand of yogurt I buy, used to come in an 8oz container, and now, it's a 6oz for the same price. They are giving less, and we are paying for more. I guess BS is trying to stretch the icecream supply and earn more money.

It's quantity, not quanity :)

Corp America is doing it to us with everything. Smaller cars, same price. Smaller ink cartridges, same price. Fewer ounces of chips in the bag, same price. We are getting screwed over.

So, your husband works for Baskin Robbins? Or owns the franchise? If that's the case, why would the employees be skimping on anything? What's it to them? If he's the boss...

I'm just not getting this...?
