CompUSA - Tucson, AZ Informative - It just needs a new battery - Toshiba laptop

ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS -- I like another reviewer was told the same thing that the TAP warranty starts after the one year runs out from date of purchase from Toshiba. I am still under the two years from the ex warranty, and the store I bought it from in IL. is gone now so I was told I would have to send it to Rockford, thats about 70 miles from my home. I don't want to send it as I have heard of the war stories form others, damage cratches broken cords and I also don't trust them to keep my computer out of the hands of someone who would do that to another person property. Anyway I said I would drive there and pick up the battery and they said I would still have to leave it as they don't carry that battery. So I gave up on them and orderd the battery from Toshiba. They say it will be here in 2 weeks. I don't think an exstended warranty is worth the money unless you get it straight from the factory itself. good luck to non compusa consumers SAM

Considering that CompUSA is closing all their stores by the end of summer, if you had sent the laptop chances are you'd never see it again.
