Like so many others, I switched to get more
TV, for less
price, but totally not the case. The HD tuner locked up whenever watching HD channels at night, but not on the regular non HD channels. As with others... a support call for $99 was offered, but i refused, s it had only been installed 4 weeks...still there problem in my opinion.
After 2 months of not working and many calls, i phone to cancel the
service...then the offer for Free maintenance. Too late as i am so furious with dealing with very bad
customer service.
Here comes the Gotcha. They promise to send me a box to ship back the equipment. Does not arrive in 10 days...call again, does not arrive in 10 days...call again, does not arrive... $500 equipment charge shows up on my credit card the same day as the box finally arrives. I call to dispute the charge as the box has just arrived. The supervisor i spoke with said 'we only send out the box as a courtesy. YOUR contract stated you have 15 days to return the equipment or you will be charged'. He then indicates once I have a tracking number, he will refund the charge. I have called in with tracking number, called in after it was confirmed delivery, and now am still no where.
They now are awaiting the products department to scan the receiver back into the system.
Dish Network has awful customer service, and HD does not work as stated. Please think long and hard before signing up with this company for 18 months. It could cost you a lot more than you think!
