SunRocket Complaint - Stink Stank Stunk - VOIP Phone Service

VOIP Phone Service - Complaint
Review by seriouslyfrustrated on 2007-07-17
PENNSYLVANIA -- I have been with SunRocket over a year now. Up until recently I hadn't run into any major issues. I recently started a home-based business and was debating on going with a separate phone service provider so that I could have a separate phone line for the business from our personal line. I opted to stay with SunRocket and simply add a new number, distinguish the biz line and the personal lines via ring tone. Simple concept right? It had been working fine...up till now. Today, major issue with the "Gizmo". The VOIP light is not lit, none of the technical help instructions are working and I have been without a phone both personal AND biz for an entire day. So call customer service you say? Yeah, tried it, they are no longer taking customer service calls. SO...the long and short of it is, I have to wait at min, 48 hours for a response to my email, with no guarantee that there is a solution in sight and I am losing money. On top of this, I have to forward the incoming calls to my cell phone which is racking up big time minutes!

Bet your back side I'm canceling service when this stretch is over!

From ZDNet: http://blogs.zdnet.com/ip-telephony/?p=2039

Sonya Jefferson, then Director of Routing and Carrier Services for SunRocket sent out this memo:

"Unfortunately this email contains very bad news. We have just been informed that any and all last ditch efforts to keep operations running as well as a potential sale of the company have not gone through and that SunRocket will cease operations at COB today. As such, today is my last day and everyone else you may have worked with at SunRocket. … Regarding outstanding and future invoices: Sherwood Partners out of Palo Alto will be handling the close down of all invoices, current and outstanding."

Their CEO resigned last Friday. That certainly was the handwriting on the wall.
