If I get a bogus email pretending to be from Ebay the onus is on me to check it out BUT!!! If my account is hijacked by someone THEN!!! Ebay refuses to investigate and ignores me.

Surely common decency dictates that it is not my fault but common decency seems to be lacking with most of the staff in Ebay.

I CHALLENGE EBAY TO A RESPONSE. LET'S WAIT AND SEE I WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED.

There is a live help feature somewhere on their page. I used it when I found watches being sold with my ID for pennies of what they should be worth. The rep was pretty helpful and they removed the items and eventually the selling fees. They did require I change my email password, as well as, ebay's. Find that live chat feature to get to service and I think you get better results.

I like the breakfast burrito at Burger King. To recieve a free one click my name, click trust, then click trust skrewdknowmoore. After completing a short survey your tasty Burger King breakfast burrito will be delivered right to your door.

disclaimer: nothing in life and especially this country is free, hell freedom isnt free. Do not expect a free burrito. Do not pass go do not collect $200. Side effects may include nausea, hiv, aids, herpes or syphlis. Do not click trust if you are blind, dead, mean, or pregnant. If the trust button does not work, please contact an IT professional or try again. Sorry no COD's.

How did they get your info? Did you think it was a real email? EBay rarely solicites. Whenever I get anything from EBay or PayPal, I automatically forward it to

    spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com

Both do an excellent job and they have always responded. And yes, they have identified fraudulent emails.

You do not provide enough info to ascertain where the problem may be, We cannot give a cogent analysis unless we have the data to go by. What, exactly, do you mean, your account was hijacked? This is hardly explanatory. moneybags is absolutely correct, I have forwarded several emails to spoof@ebay.com when someone usinng ebay's name and trademarks, but addressed to my email address, and not my ebay acount name, claims I sold them a watch, but won't deliver (I don't sell watches.)That is the simplest way to know, if it is ebay, they will use your ebay registered screen name. If it is someone phishing, it is addressed to my email addy. BA ... more >>

I recently cancelled eBay and Paypal after 5+ years with only a handful of problems and a perfect feedback record over 1800. Someone posted an item for sale using one of my old templates. It did not show up on my listings (I had none at the time). My first notice was an email that "my item" had sold. The "buyer" had 1 feedback. They also posted a phony positive feedback from me even though the item was neither invoiced nor paid for. I caught it within the first hour and eBay quickly booted the scammer. I decided to bail when eBay invoiced me for the seller fees.

Had also previously received two scam e mails threatening to report me ... more >>
