SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI -- I bought TIVO really cheap and thougt it seemed good. Its fine, if you never need anything and all goes perfect. In a year I never managed to speak to a rep. My 12 months was up and I changed to DishDVR and called immediately to get rid of $13 a month for nothing but a programming guide I already get with my provider.

On the call prompt I selected "cancel service" and was transfered and it said they were not available, please leave a message. Then "the mail box is full, goodbye" and hung up.

Calling back by cell which monitors time, I waited 37 minutes for a rep who transfered me and I waited another 7 minutes. They wanted to know why on earth I would cancel and what would I do with my tivo box. I said, it was already boxed and i cannot WAIT to get it to the flea market and sell it for 99 cents, if I can get even that much for it. TIVO is a massave waste of money since all providers give you free guides.

Tivo is a boil on the butt of humanity. Stay away from it.

I was excited when I ordered my TiVO (dual tuner). I really wanted it to work but it never did. I spent more than 8 hours over a 5 day period on the phone with their tech support to try and get it fixed. I am sure if we had gotten the issues resolved it would have been great service to have. Unfortunately between the bad customer service and lousy tech support I was more than ready to ship it back.
