Network Solutions Informative - Very poor service - Service

Review by mthant on 2007-11-02
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- I changed the hosting to Network Solutions to develop an upgraded website. I paid for their hosting, design and SEO. It has been more than 2 months and a couple of thousands of dollars and the website is still not fixed yet.
First the service representative told me that I would receive a call from other departments. Few weeks later I received a call from SEO who told me that he could not do anything until the design team has done their work and that the design team would call. But never received the call. Finally, we called the design team who then told us they couldn't do it until we talked with their backend team. And that someone would call the next day. A week gone by and there was no call. I called the design team again and talked to the person who told me he would tell them to call me the next day. Still no call.
When I called the next time, the support guy told me he could not find my domain name or my name. When I mentioned it had been two months he hung up.
In the meantime, the original sale or service person Allen Sturgeon never responded to our multiple emails or the phone calls.

Move you domain registrar to godaddy (cheaper) and get a local company to design your web site (better service).

We moved well over 200 domains from Netsol to GoDaddy and have never looked back. Two months after we left Netsol called and wanted to know if they dropped their price from $35 per domain to GoDaddy's price if we would come back. I asked if they will refund the $20 extra we were paying for each domain while with them, we never heard from them again. Bear is 100% correct, find a local web developement house that you can go and visit in person. Prices will be better and you won't have to deal with the jerks at Netsol. (VH)

I am definitely going to move out of Network Solutions. I am planning to write a letter notifying them of that intent and to reimburse the payment

Network solutions is an awful company. Do not sign up with them. Before network solutions took over monster commerce. monster commerce was very decent and reliable. In years of being involved with online businesses I have never experienced such bad service in bad faith.
here is a list of problems.

1) only about 70% up time - meaning our site is live only about 70% of the time
2) In turn we have lost 30& of our business
3) No response to support tickets for weeks on end
4) then they mysteriously close them without providing any feedback as to what they have fixed and they don't fix anything anyway.
5) No one emails you back or returns phone calls
6) Billing issues
7) When You call to report a problem they create 2 or 3 new problems and fail to fix them
8) Inconsistent information. Not one person there including management or corp. knows what is ever going on. I could go on and on but please take my word for it and other complaints this is a bad company. Its too late for us. Our site has been with MC for 10 years and so we are stuck. If we switch which I would like to we can loose all of our rankings and have zero business, but Don't sign up with them.
