I've been back and forth with AT&T for about three months now. When I switched away from them I got a whopper of a bill - I was charged $3.50/minute for my husband's calls to his family in Jamaica when the usual rate is just $0.54! I've been asking for a credit - they tell me they'll research it and give me a tracking number.
When I call back a few days later, the tracking number has VANISHED.
Now, NCO Financial must be involved...they call my house 5-8 times a day - i think they're even calling my cell phone. The wierd thing is - when you answer - most of the time it says, "Please hold for a special message" or something like that and then the line goes dead. (And no, it's not me hanging up!) They have left messages with two of my babysitters now - telling them exactly what the problem is, who the
debt is with, etc.
It doesn't really bother me too much because I don't actually owe more than $50 or so with AT&T - but now that they've transferred it to the
collection agency I have NO idea if it's going to get resolved.
