Exilim EX-Z600 Camera - Complaint
Review by Marlie2 on 2008-01-23
SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA -- After purchasing this camera in November, 2006 for $250 and having taken beautiful photographs for the first twelve months, the camera lost its "clear focus capability" and all of the shots tended to become fuzzy with no clarity.

I wrote to Casio on 12/24/07 explaining the situation -- NO RESPONSE. On 12/31/07, I followed up with a telephone call and was advised to call back 1/2/08 if the camera doesn't work after being re-set. I called on 1/2/08 and was told to send the camera to The Time Machine for repairs since it was one month past warranty. They would repair the camera at a cost of $87 to perhaps $125. Why would a camera only last one year?

I wrote again to Casio on 1/9/08 re-explaining the above, and have YET TO RECEIVE ANY RESPONSE FROM THEM. This is no way to run a company, and this has now enlightened me regarding Casio. NOTHING will be purchased with their name on a product in the future by me.

There is a firmware update for the EX-Z600. Try installing and see what happens.

Thank you for your suggestion, but after downloading the new firmware update, it did not help either.
