Sears Complaint - Barton Creek Mall And The Grand Sears - Too Damn Hot To Shop Or Take Pictures

Too Damn Hot To Shop Or Take Pictures - Complaint
Review by Too HOT TO SHOP on 2008-03-19
AUSTIN, TEXAS -- My family and I were visiting in Austin (February 70 degrees outside) recently and the worse part of our vacation our visit to the Sears at the Barton Creek Mall and The Grand! We went in to buy some clothes for our 2 children and decided to do some family portraits since we haven't done that in years. While trying on clothes the stores were miserably hot! When we went to the portrait studio, my children were so miserable from the heat that they were sweating and restless. Needless to say we couldn't get any pictures taken because it was miserably hot and we felt bad for the people that were trying to work in this heat. A couple days before we left our sister told us about a really nice Sears called The Grand, I had never heard of this so we drove the 30 min drive and decided we would try the picture session again. Upon arriving at the store the girls were quite busy, I saw a client come out with a baby and told us that "they had to come out for awhile just to let the baby cool off because it was so hot in the studio". We decided not to put our kids through this kind of torture again and went to another business to do our family pictures.

We would have spent $200-$300 in family pictures but your business can't expect people to take pictures and wipe sweat off their children at the same time. Why can't you turn the air conditioner on in these stores and in those studios were it is all cramped in the first place. Poor service.

It is amazing how stores think they are saving money, by having computer controlled heating systems, taht can not be overriden except from the main office in timbucto, but they would make more money if they would have their stores comfortablt, granted, what is comfortable for me, may not be for you, but they could do a better job, then people would be more inclined to shop and spend more money. Maybe if enough customers would complain to the store manager and also to the main office, the companies would change a lot of their practices.
