I sent my ipod in to be repaired to ipod mechanic. The screen was cracked but other than that it worked fine. I received an email giving me a quote for the repairs. I thought it was reasonable and agreed to the repairs. A few weeks went by and I decided to send an email to find out the status of my repair.
I received an email back from a lawyer asking me for my name, serial number, and other info. I sent him the info and than received a letter from the lawyer saying my ipod had been seized by the
government and they were trying to get it back for me. When I asked for info on the government official that had my ipod, he said there wasn't any numbers for me to get? I contacted the Better Business Bureau and started a complaint. I than received an email from ipod mechanic saying they had received my ipod back from the government and I would be getting an email from them on how they would be getting me my ipod.
I have not heard anything since. Do not use this company if you value your ipod. I have since found many more complaints about this company sending people the wrong ipod, charging for repairs that were not needed, or losing ipods all together. Ipod mechanic is a horrible business.
DO NOT USE!!
