Nordstrom Complaint - Customer Service Cosmetics, Computer Errors

CANOGA PARK, CALIFORNIA -- On going lack of customer service in cosmetics. Everyone is always new and unfamiliar with their product. Computer errors (your charge slip computer generated code and description does not match item sometimes) led to absolute awful service on a return item. I was assured the computer doesn't lie and of buying the product at another store. I was also accused of getting it for free and trying to return it. St John department overbearing and accused me of shortening a belt that I had just purchased the day before. A salesperson finally stepped in on my behalf assuring the manager it was not shortened. Did I get an apolgy from the salesperson (the manager of the department, Beth)? NO. What happened to the customer is always right? Nordstrom used to pride itself on customer service and customer loyalty.

I felt treated like a criminal. In the past,I was a VERY good Nordstrom customer even having their Visa card. Now I shop elsewhere and can hardly wait for the new Neiman Marcus to open in my area.

I've shopped at Nordstrom for years and have returned items to almost every department (including cosmetics) at one time or another - - all without a single problem. I would just love to hear their side of this story . . .
