Location: Wind Gap , PA

I was at the Dunkin Donuts in Wind Gap for Breakfast this morning with my 8 yr old daughter. One of the staff was wearing an I love head sticker on his visor. I was SHOCKED!!! and asked my daughter to sit down so she wouldn't see it. I asked to see the manager, and the girl who got him stood directly behind him while I explained the problem.

She was then allowed to roll her eyes and argue the appropriateness of the sticker while the manager kind of just was like ok take it off. Evidently it's a skiing term as well.

When I stated that it was obviously meant to mean both things, the girl (the manager had walked away by this point, leaving the girl to argue with me) was like well, yeah. Eventually she walked away only to say loudly how ridiculous it was and not to throw the sticker away. Eventually as the staff continued to stare at us I finally left.

My order hadn't been completed and I had to ask for my daughters hash browns.

Dunkin Donuts' corporate headquarters is in Canton, MA. I would contact them on Monday and let them handle those morons.

Good for you for saying something to the manager, too many times its just easier to ignore things like this. I hope you do contact DD headquarters too. The only other thing I would have done is left and gone somewhere else.

Why did you give them your business? Thats like saying, "I dont agree with you, but here is my money so you can keep doing what your doing." Why didnt you leave?

I don't know about 8 year olds today...but if they know the meaning of it then having her sit facing another direction isn't of much help. If they don't know the meaning of it, they will after a big issue is made and attention is brought to it...now the 8 year old will wonder what the big deal was and start questioning it...but with that all aside...I agree it is very inappropiate and the manager should have had her remove it before she ever got out on the floor with customers. It doesn't matter what THEY say the meaning is, it's what others see the meaning as...and I for one would not have known it was a term used in skiing. Good for you for... more >>

This is when people simply jump to conclusions. We, dirty minded people, automatically jump to the dirtiest conclusion. While it could mean what you think, it doesn't automatically.
I do believe however, that the staff had no right to argue and sass-mouth you about the sticker.

I work in a Dunkin's, and Customer Service is supposed to be the #1 priority at all times. It's very tempting to try and personalize and add some style to those hideous outfits, but if anything you add is considered offensive to a customer, it should just be removed with as little fuss as possible. If only all customer complaints were so easily solved!
The manager in that store showed some very bad judgment, and makes me wonder how more serious complaints are handled.

Head is a company that manfactures skiing equipment and clothing. Shame on you for having a dirty mind!!! Super prudes make me sick. Who appointed you to the PC police?
