SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA -- Ive owned my Packard Bell for almost 6 years... for about half that time it has remained turned on 24 hrs/day, 7 days a week. Amazingly my computer just keeps going. Ive barely had any problems over the years, and to this date it still suites my needs.

Cheers to Packard Bell despite the bad rap. I too have owned a system (Pentium 90) for 6 years. I even bought it as a demo unit! It has given me nothing but excellent performance without one glitch! The only problem I have now (6 year slater) is the internal fan. Hey, In can live with replacing a $14.00 fan. If you can find one of these workhorses, don't listen to all those who poo-poo PB systems. Try one for yourself.

How long ago was this comment published? It is my understanding Packard Bell went out of business several years ago. Today's date 1/29/08.
