I have been buying Dells since the early 90's, probably as many as 100+ for myself and various businesses I have worked with. I always liked them, then in recent years something changed..No more. they have lost a customer.
The problems began when I became a partner in a business and decided to obtain a
laptop and a server through their leasing program, an option which they push aggressively.
The laptop went on the fritz about 10 months in.
It would just fizzle out. I tried to return it but they would have none of this. They actually suggested that I buy it from them. Hello? It stopped working!!!
On the server, we made 26 payments out of 48 and the business went under. I tried to return the
computer and was told that this was not an option. They say I must pay, even though I have no use for a business server. I asked about buying it back and despite their statements about fair market value, this was not an option either. To date we have paid $4800 on a server that cost $5400. The only option they offer is to pay out the whole lease, an additional $5000 plus the buy out of $500. It didn't matter that this was a business, they will go after me personally. The lease actually stat3es that if I die they will go after my widow and son, so suicide is not an option either. There was no compromise, just pay, pay everything, pay now.
Their agents are sharks and know every trick in the book. They tricked me into giving my cell phone number and personal email address and now they harass me relentlessly, calling me over and over from non-published numbers.
STAY AWAY.
