Spirit Airlines Complaint - Charged For Unwanted Travel Insurance - Travel Guard

Travel Guard - Complaint
Review by caperucitaroja on 2009-04-09
SAN JUAN -- When I made the reservations online for a round trip ticket they charged me for the ticket to my credit card, then they let me know I have to pay 30.00 to take a suit case, which I have to agree, since I already paid for the ticket. They charged me $2.00 I do not know for what, and finally they charge me 12.00 for an insurance I did not want. I found out all this at my bank when I when to the bank to deposit more money to cover for the suitcase charge. Why four different transaction?

Then to remove the insurance charge was a nightmare. I have to get in the internet, and apply for a refund, I don not know yet how long it will take to get the $12.00 back.

This info was probably in the terms and conditions. Of course nobody reads those and then they are always shocked when they see extra fees.

Did you buy coffee or tea onboard? Did you uncheck the box for insurance prior to booking the ticket?

Check your facts before blaming the airline - it's all on their site.
