Here’s what I just emailed their
customer service (like they care):
“I just wasted a half hour speaking with a representative from
Geico named !$. I find it appalling that I am being charged for a
service which I clearly opted not to carry, as my Geico representative instructed me was optional.
As stated to Geico representative %##$ today 4/25/09 at approximately 10:00 PST, I returned the form Geico sent within the time frame required. At no time was I made aware that Geico had not received it until now, almost a year later. When I asked to speak with a supervisor today, $%^& said there were none available. I will be blogging about this incident, which will cost Geico far more than the $16.27 they say they I owe them. And I will also be contacting the
insurance commissioner and the BBB over this matter. ”
GEICO is not worth doing business with, as is obvious from this and many other blogs will attest to. Everybody having issues with Geico should do as I am doing, contact the insurance commissioner and the BBB. Maybe even a class action lawsuit.
