I just want to say that I have had and continue to have a bad experience with
Dell, particularly their
tech support. My XPS1530 has been nothing but trouble since I got it early in 2008. It has been to their repair depot 5 times just in 2008 and so far this year 2009. I have had technicians come out and replace parts that the repair depot messed up.
On 4/2/09, a onsite tech came to my house to replace a simple part and motherboard. Well, my system was working except for the volume controls. After he finished replacing the board, he couldn't get it to turn on or even post so he put the board back in that was working and the same thing.. nothing. So, he called in and had a system exchange set up because he said there was nothing more he could do for my system. Well, on 4/9/09 my new system was shipped but on it's way to me via Federal Express, it was recalled back into Dell so I never got it. I called and complained. They told me that my account was on hold because of the number of dispatches and problems that I have had. My
warranty doesn't expire until 1/9/2010 so I was furious. Why put my account on hold because of THEIR faulty equipment. So, as of 5/15/09, I still have a system that doesn't work and Dell refuses to replace it because my account is on hold because of the number of problems I have had. So, if you own a Dell system, beware if you have multiple problems because they MAY put your account on hold. I don't know what to do next because no one at Dell seems to care. I get bounced back from
customer care to tech support and still have a system that will do nothing.
