Conn's Appliances Informative - Texas AG sues Conn's for deceptive sales practices
The following will be of interest to those who have complained in this forum about the warranty or lack of warranty service from Conn's.
In response to over 2,000 complaints the Texas Attorney General filed suit on Thursday charging Conn's with..."failing to honor product warranties, misleading customers about the nature of its products, false advertising and other violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act".
Here's the press release. Somehow it vanished this morning.

Look for the links to open the script Conn's gave to employees showing them how to sell a warranty. It's a real eye opener. I got a chuckle reading the Laundry section - a full laundry load weighs 300lbs. Really?

just shows the bbb is worthless if they give conn's an a+ rating??!! and with 2,000 complaints, and the bbb still has them as a+, also shows making a complaint to the bbb is worthless.

300lbs does sound a little high. Full size top loaders hold just over 20 gallons of water, which weighs 8lbs per gallon. Add 20lbs of clothes, I'm thinking closer to 200lbs.
