You should definitely notify law enforcement about this. Since you know where the products were delivered to, they could potentially find the guy that stole your debit card information.
Also, notify your bank and have the stolen card deactivated and replaced so the thief can't make any more fraudulent purchases.

I just re-read this and the letter writer said that HE had the items shipped to the 711.
Most people actually contact the police FIRST and get their card canceled...
And um, normally when you claim a purchase is fraudulent, it's best not to mention in in the same paragraph that you actually have possession of the items purchased and are requesting a refund...

Where here is there ANY posts that would be even slightly of the variety a Dell employee would write? Isn't this really between you and your bank anyway? The fraud was committed with your debit card, therefore your bank should be the ones working on this. How exactly would Dell know this is fraud and not a scam you could be running. To throw your computer out the window over this was just flat out silly.

PLEASE READ PEOPLE!! Yeah jim, it was between me, the bank, police, and DELL. I noticed the charge right away and knew it wasn't mine. I contacted Dell and the merchandise hadn't even shipped yet. However it still arrived at 7/11 12 buisness days later after I clearly stated this was a case of FRAUD. They never stopped the order, or even attempt to help even answer a simple question. They did nothing and I had to communicate via e-mails. To take my money and "BUILD MY DREAM COMPUTER" I can talk to someone who speaks perfect english and is willing to help in ANY way possible. I think she is saying the one she tossed out the window was hers and she already previously had it. To throw it away was a bit irrational to say the least. I still would ask, what is your bank doing about this? To me, it really is up to them to get the charge back from Dell under a stolen identity scenario.

Jackie -- I think what everyone is saying is that if you'll let the card company deal with it, Dell will have to eat the cost of the computer. Wouldn't that fix the problem? If your card was compromised, I'd think that you would want the authorities involved in order to try and track down the thief.

You know I came to this site for some help when there are few out there, I have a good life now and dont care about the money or refund, I CARE ABOUT THE INTEGRITY OF THESE COMPANIES AND HOW THEY TREAT PEOPLE. I did read the post, my friend. I also read the 37 other comments. Sorry that Dell didn't jump when you called them. But they didn't. Pretty much everyone here will tell you that Dell's not the company that Michael founded years ago. Deal with your card, and let Dell take the hit since they didn't take the hint when you first contacted them.

When I was on my last deployment my account also encountered fraudulent use. I dealt only with the bank and had the account number changed and contested the charges.
What I didn't do was piddle around with the companies that had processed the charges.
Nor did I throw a computer out of the window in a fit of anger
