Terrible. Overpriced. Customer Service Is Terrible.

FLORIDA -- Terrible. Overpriced. Customer service is terrible. Reps answering phones cannot comprehend simple conversation. I made two separate orders. Both looked terrible. I called to change the delivery of one and she was impossible to understand and could not comprehend the conversation. I asked for a manager and was told there wasn't one. Asked for her boss several times and was hung up on eventually. I called back and the man answering this time had the same issue, except he continued to ask if I would like to make an order. Email worked best so far, although no resolution. Both orders have been delivered, but both look terribly wilted and nothing like the photos.

PROFLOWERS.COM, CALIFORNIA -- As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. The first picture is what was ordered. According to the ProFlowers description, this is what was to be delivered: 1 White Kalanchoe plant ~8-10" tall, 1 Peace Lily plant ~10-15" tall, 1 Pothos Marble plant ~8-10" tall, 1 Variegated Nephthytis plant ~8-10" tall, in wooden trug with French Script, 9"l x 9"w x 5"h. What was "delivered" - Well, NOT ACTUALLY DELIVERED... received in the MAIL!!! (ProFlowers need to disclose on their websites that THEY DO NOT DELIVER - they MAIL the flowers out!!!) That is DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING!) The second picture shows what was received: Some tiny, sick, dying plants - some of which looked like they were frozen - TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! I complained to ProFlowers and they re-sent another, which was better than the first, but still NOTHING like what was pictured in ProFlowers' advertisement! As shown in the third picture, there were only TWO plants in the box, when there were supposed to be FOUR. This is absolutely FALSE ADVERTISING and a TOTAL RIP-OFF!! Imagine if our recipient had not sent us pictures of what she was sent!!! We would have paid $66.76 for a sorry mess of tiny, sick, dying, frozen plants!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I don't believe the second package was worth $66.76, either. It certainly was NOT what was ordered!! I will NEVER use ProFlowers again!

Wilted Flowers Delivered Too Late for Mother's Day and Customer Service From Hell

CALIFORNIA -- Daughter called on Mother's Day and inquired if I had received the flowers she ordered. I had not. On Monday, I received a voice mail message from ProFlowers to call their 888 number. I called and was on hold for 19 minutes before I spoke with a representative who was extremely rude. She claimed she could not help me unless I had the order number. Explained that I had not ordered but was the recipient and had received a call to contact customer service.

After 10 minutes of her refusal to help I asked to speak with a supervisor and she hung up on me. Called again and was on hold for 12 minutes - but this time the customer service representative was quite nice and explained that I would receive the flowers on Tuesday. I said that this was not acceptable since my daughter had ordered the flowers ahead of time and requested a Saturday delivery.

Monday night I found the flowers in front of the door. The box contained four wilted roses and some other green something. This was not at all what my daughter had ordered for $70. Wrote comment on their website -- as a matter of fact, the website is loaded with complaints. I am attaching a picture of what was delivered for $70.

I Ordered Flowers for My Mom on Mothers Day

TUCSON, ARIZONA -- I ordered a dozen roses for my mom Mother's Day. They were delivered via UPS truck that was hot in the truck. My mom opened the box and I was shocked and embarrassed at the roses that lay there in that box. They didn't have and leaves on the roses. The vase was stuffed in the bottom of the box. So my mom had to "arrange' her own Mother's Day flowers I paid $44.00 for. They looked nothing like the add in Proflowers website. They looked like stocks with roses on the top with no foliage! Very ugly. I am having my charges disputed through my bank. Because obviously they don't stand by their guarantee!

Shady Business Practices

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- Just like I now see everyone else has described, this is a HORRIBLE company to deal with. I saw a Groupon coupon for $30 worth of flowers for just $14 and I needed to order some flowers for a sick friend. Before I bought the coupon I went onto the ProFlowers.com website and found exactly what I wanted and put it into my cart. I went through ALL of the steps and even checked out, to the point where all I had left to do was enter any discount codes and my credit card info to pay. My order came to $44.98 and they showed that total in the invoice that the site presented, asking me to enter my payment details as the final step. I was ok buying the $14 Groupon deal that got me $30 towards the flowers and then paying the $14.98 left over amount, so I went ahead and bought the Groupon coupon. I went back into my flower order and applied the coupon code and then submitted all of my payment details to pay for the order. It was only AFTER I submitted my payment info that I suddenly saw that the final price shot up to over $66.00. WHAT???? How can that be? How can they show one price, have you fill out ALL the details of the order, including payment info, and only then add in over $22 of undisclosed fees (taxes, handling, delivery, etc)? SOOOO dishonest and shady. Really unethical business practices for sure. And now I read that everyone is also complaining that the flowers usually arrive late, if at all, and that they usually look beaten up and not like what they show online. So basically they rip you off and then send a bunch of crap. WHY does the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs allow this to continue with SO many complaints against them? And I love how the banner at the top of the Pro Flowers website boasts that they have "the highest customer satisfaction with online flower retailers for 4 years in a row, according to J.D. Power". I'm guessing that the J.D. Power they must be referring to is the owner's neighbor, or someone he knows with the same name as the reputable retail business ranking service (LOL), or HOW could JD Powers ignore the hundreds & hundreds of complaints and that Pro Flowers has only a 1.5 star rating on almost every consumer feedback site I have seen? Everyone seems to pretty much agree that ProFlowers.com SUCKS!!!

Avoid this company like the plague they are. They are very happy to charge convenience fees and additional delivery charges and then do nothing. The flowers were due to arrive on Valentines day. Instead I got to show my wife a photo of the flowers she should have received. Lucky her. Three emails to the email address supplied have gone unanswered, probably because everyone in the Indian call center they use is busy butchering any concept of the actual phrase "customer service" . Climbing the fence into the nearest garden center at 4 am with a flashlight and some wire cutters would give you far better results.

Failure to Deliver Both Flowers and Customer Service

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- I ordered flowers to be delivered to my daughter for the Saturday before Easter. I paid the extra fees for quick delivery and the weekend shipment. I was not notified of delivery, and when I called them on the phone the "customer service agent" was rude and acted like he was doing a favor by crediting me $5.00 for the weekend non-delivery. He then said "do you want us to deliver the flowers or not?" in a very abrasive manner. I told him to deliver.

That was almost 12 business hours ago, and I still have no delivery notice. These guys have all the charm of bill collectors, and from what I have found out have an even less stellar track record for deliveries. If you want to feel used and abused I recommend them highly. As for me, I have placed a call to my attorney. Enough is enough!

Horrible Service.

ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND -- Ordered 12 Red Roses to be delivered to a Nursing Home. ProFlowers delivered to the Nursing Home but had my name as the recipient and not the person I ordered flowers for. In addition they brought 8 red roses and 4 white roses. Not the dozen of red roses I ordered.

When I called customer service it was very hard to understand the person I spoke to. I'm sure the customer service is not located in the USA. Person I spoke with agreed to a refund but only after arguing with me. I will never use ProFlowers again. It is just by chance I found out the flowers were never delivered and ProFlowers wasn't even delivering the 12 Red roses I paid for.

NORCO, CALIFORNIA -- I would like to take a moment to Thank in part ProFlowers.com for contributing to the lack of effort, care and beauty that arrives on my porch every Saturday before Mother's Day. The disappointment that arrives at my doorstep in the heat of the day, each year for over a decade now. The box itself looks wrong as if it was the ball used at my son's soccer game. The "card" that is in fact a 19 characters or less email; comes beautifully designed on the classiness of a plain white shipping label. Oh how the joy and hopefulness of opening a gift sent lovingly (in 3 minutes or less) by my husband of almost 15 years begins to fade away as I lay my eyes upon my more dead than alive flowers.

The giant vase that is sent with the smallest, most frail bouquet of over proved flowers is almost intentionally perfected to cause disappointment and the sad "I'm sorry" looks from various relatives whom also get the pleasure of viewing my Mother Days bouquet sent to me lovingly via FedEx.

In short I wish for the same thing next year as I have for the past 5 years. Write a nice email, print it out and tape a $70 voucher to my favorite charity on the back of the email. Heck even go pick some half dead freeway daisies surely they would have to outshine the ProFlower disappointment bouquet! Hopefully you all found my despair and Mother's Day disappointment amusing as it is pretty funny when you put it in perspective. Mother's Days is one day of the year we all have 365 each year to show the people that matter to us that we love them.

Horrible Unintelligible Customer Service

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- After having a minor issue with an order, I called Customer Service to have it resolved!!! I'm not sure when this company subcontracted out their Customer Service, but obviously they have, as all the representatives I spoke with on three different calls, were horribly unintelligible!!! They all spoke with such thick accents that they were almost impossible to understand! Including their Supervisor!

In addition, the phone equipment they were using was either of an extremely low quality, or it was malfunctioning as ALL three calls were very very garbled and distorted, not that it would have helped if they were using the best equipment available, as again, their accents were beyond what is normally considered "reasonable" or "acceptable" for this type of work!!!

Several years ago, this was not the case, so apparently, at some point, they made the decision to sell out the quality of their customers experience for the almighty dollar!!! This company has gone downhill something horrible!!! And to add insult to injury, I was promised a gift coupon for my troubles, which was never received!!!
