Weeks of delays with new laptop orders - Dell Studio 14Z

Location: Pasadena, TX

I ordered a new Dell Studio 14Z on May 31 and was given an estimated arrival date of June 26. Then on June 22 I got a new estimated arrival of July 6. Today I got another new estimated arrival of July 15. Tonight I'm canceling the order and will buy a new Toshiba.

    After getting a new date of delivery 5 times, I'd say the poster has moved on. I, myself, couldnt wait 2 months to receive a product that Im so anxious to use.

    I called the Dell 800 number and they said the wireless modem board production was delayed. I just cancelled my order and will go to best buy today and get another brand -Toshiba, Sony or HP.

    My Dell came with a defective hard drive. I lost everything. You got lucky canceling your order.

    Tomahhtoe, I hope you're not blaming Dell for the defective harddrive. Blame the harddrive's manufacturer for the defect and the loss of your data. And make a habit of backing up your data daily as a preventative maintenance.
