City Furniture Complaint - City Furniture Sells Crap - Kevin Charles

Kevin Charles - Complaint
Review by macbaloni on 2009-08-04
TAMARAC, FLORIDA -- Kevin Charles is defective. This furniture is dangerous. Staples are always poking me when I handle the furniture. My relatives almost fell threw one of the seats as there was no support holding the spring board and it collapsed only Staples held the springs in place. They don't stand behind there defective products nor will they examine the defects. The pillows zippers are breaking. The seams are showing stuffing. They cracked my floor tiles when they delivered it first two couches had to be redelivered because they came broken. The furniture was very expensive and the end result is you lose your money because I own a big pile of crap for 5,000.00 dollars. [snip] at tamarac is one rude woman who basically follows every other corp minded retard that blows off there customers that spend thousands of dollars with there company. Which the end result is instead of spending my money with city furniture I will never shop there again. It cost them nothing to fix the furniture and keep a customer.

Don't know how the corp machine thinks that blowing off your customers is a good way to keep biz going that's why they are all going under pooooorrrr customer service. Fix it for a hundred make a thousand later.

It is their responsibility to stand behind the products that they sell to you. If the furniture is defective and dangerous, it has no business being in your home.

Since they won't fix the products, it is best to demand a refund, and if they refuse, unfortunately small claims court would be the way to go here. Pictures with timestamps and a copy of your receipt will prove your case.

City Furniture DOES fix furniture that is damaged and/or defective..... then they put it back to their stock and re-sell it as new.

Have built a new house and was headed out to City Furniture to furnish every room, including mattress, pictures, mirrors, lamps. etc. They say one good referral is worth about $20,000 to a retailer in advertising. Here is proof -- Your report of how they handled your claim saved me a lot of headaches I'm sure, but your report cost them a lot more than it would have cost City Furniture to fix your couch....a lot more than they can imagine as I will report this to my other family members and friends who intend to buy furniture. Words like this spread like wildfire, and they had better realize it before the "gossip" eventually puts them out of business. YES -- Go to small claims court. I hope you win, as your story infuriates me. Their Corporate people probably just look at profit numbers, not realizing how their profits could be twice or more as much if they would give the attention needed to situations like yours. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCE!!! I WILL take my business elsewhere and spread the word about City Furniture....maybe even on my Facebook Page to protect my loved ones.
