I completely agree! Vick has no business being any where but jail!
The man has paid his Debt to society, He is a great football player. I wouldn’t blame any team for choosing him as a valued asset. Besides the Eagles need all the help they can get.
Amen wally. What's the point of serving your time and serving it well if you're still going to get the judgement and condemnation of people who want his head on a pike.
He was made an example of, and harshly. Leave the man alone.
I suspect this review will be gone shortly so I better chime in quickly.
I'm under the belief that if you've done what the court has required, move on with your life. He is doing that. Others, as shown here, have not. He has served his mandated time in jail and is now free to look for work. He's found it. Should he keep paying? No, says the courts. People, you have your opinions, of course, but the man has done his time for his infraction.
vick is just that stupid. look i have every thing lets fight dogs . duuh thats ok right ? ha ha i cant't wait to see the hell this guy will go threw. what a FOOL, i see cleaning pools in his future ..vicks pool clean'n sit
C2O (08/14/2009) | I kind of thought that a 2 year contract to play football in Philly was basically an extension of his prison sentence.
GO COWBOYS!
I'm really surprised someone signed him. He is still only partially reinstated.
You are so typical of so many so-called Christians. Isn't one of the basic tenets of the Christian faith forgiveness? You sound rabid and so judgemental. Take the beam out of your eye before worrying about the mote in Vick's.
Looks like C2O is getting a NOT HELPFUL vote from me here.
These outcries over Vick will be short lived and insignificant. While pretty much no one approves of what he did, most all recognize he did his time for it. He's not starting on the team and certainly isn't ever going to make the money he once did. He's embarrassed himself, become a figure of scorn, and will never get to Canton now. He's paid his dues.
Why the Christian bashing? The OP never stated a particular religion. Totally irrelevant.
Personally, I'm glad to see Michael Vick get a second chance to play the foosball. I hope he makes the most of it.
you have got to be kidding right?? is this a joke?!!
I do not like Michael Vick or what he has done. He has served his time but it is my option whether or not I would choose to support a team he plays on and I choose not to. On the same note, I would not call for a boycott either.
Stew is right. There is no mention of religion in this post, so why the Christian bashing when that topic wasn't even mentioned? This website and the comments posted boggle my mind sometimes.
my thought is... why should we be obliged to trust someone?
"paying your dues" and "regaining trust" are not the same thing
He screwed up, but he did his time, and deserves a second chance.
Like I said on the other thread, if he wasn't caught doing what he did, do you think he'd still be doing it? Of course he would. So, I don't fall for his 'words' now because that's all they are, words. He's only saying what he knows people want to hear...he's only sorry that he was caught, not that he did it.
vick is an example of what happens when one gives an un-educated, un-money worth person millions of dollars.
Yes, let's "lighten up" on Vick, as I have been hearing around my town. We know what we VALUE in our country. We will choose to overlook ATROCITIES like rape, torture, murder, child molestation, assault, and the exploitation, torture, and murder of the EXPENDABLE Pit Bull Dog; which by the way, used to be a proud symbol of our country's military in the first world wars.
Hey, when you are talking about the almighty DOLLAR and the selfish entertainment provided by FOOTBALL -- we will not only overlook and "forgive" - but we will CELEBRATE and PROMOTE those people. Let us BASK in their GLORY.
And BTW -- is not allowing a SOCIOPATH (and YES... more >>

Pepper, you hit it right on!
Michael Vick went to jail for cruelties to animals that pale in comparison to how cows are treated every single day at the big corporate feed lots. The hypocrisy of this outrage is truly absurd. The guy was railroaded for mistreating his own property. Oh yeah I forgot in this country we don't consider cute mammals as being property we give them so called rights and protections ya know so long as they are cute of course. Animals are property. What a man does with his own property is none of my concern. That's freedom Baby but I guess freedom is a bad word these days.
He served his time already. Get over it, your opinion doesn't override what was decided in court. You actually sound ridiculous to say they're going to lose because you don't think he should have been fired. Get on with your own life!
Fish are friends, not food. Sorry, Nemo moment.
BEJ (08/14/2009) | Get off the high horse you have put yourself on. Although I do not condone what he did--He has done his time.
I have a tough time with this one. While I think folks can do their time and change for the better, I for one am partial to dogs... and I can't get the thought out of my head of what he did to those dogs...
Might he be a changed man now? Perhaps... but re-instating him as a role model for millions of kids to watch on TV is the tough part... I'm all for folks doing their time and getting out and finding jobs... but to be given a role model spotlight in front of the audience the NFL produces doesn't sit well with me.
Let's hope he spends much of his new free time and money helping out good causes and charities...
OMG I just hate when people want proballers to be role models. Like the WORST choice ever. No offense to you, Spart, of course.
Lemme tell you what happened here in Mobile. One of the youth football coaches here got axed because he was busted with drugs and had a prior record.
So the City of Mobile decides to run background checks on all 300 youth coaches, and guess what....FORTY FIVE of them won't be coming back.
Talk about some role models going down!
Sports are sports..but children using sports heros and personalities as role models is always iffy.
I am my own role model.
And mine too!
Of course, its different for girls, but my grandaddy was my role model. Even though he's been dead for years, he still is..
Sparticus that was really well put. I also think he would still be in prision if he was an average joe. He traded his celebrity status for a shortened sentence. Serving 18 months of his 23 month sentence, yes I know about good behavior.
Best answer Sparticus.
Wow, this thing is top review of the day. I guess everyone who's voting this "helpful" is going to boycott all the sponsors of the Philadelphia Eagles now, right? Sure you are...
The Raiders beat the Cowboy's? Now that's funny.
"He has served his mandated time in jail and is now free to look for work. He's found it. Should he keep paying? No, says the courts. People, you have your opinions, of course, but the man has done his time for his infraction."
Let's hope this generosity applies to the raper of your wife and the molester of your daughter equally as well. Then we will admire you for your ability to forgive and forget so freely. But since Vick's return to society adds to your sports viewing pleasure, it's a whole lot easier to just move on right?, with just a slap on the wrist so that all of the others will realize that the consequences are minimal and tempo... more >>
I agree. Michael Vick should not be out of prison. He is not a good role model for anyone, especially kids. And as for him having any remorse, that's a big joke.
He tortured and abused those innocent dogs.
Sorry but I'm with the haters on this one. Dosen't matter anyway the Redskins will demolish them this season.
Bargod, I'm not saying you can't still go to his games, I'm just saying that you can't go without wearing a stuffed dog spattered with ketchup hanging around your neck! Never forget!
gingerandbuddy - your comments remind me of some of the scandals from my home town...
the local university football team had allegations of rape and various other crimes back in the 80s.
but it was often covered up and victims pretty much told to shut up, because they didn't want the players to miss the games
DC - that sounds like a great Tshirt idea for tshirt hell =)
Honestly, people are going to equate rape and child molestation with animal cruelty? That's pretty messed up.
Very well put Digital Comamando.
stew my comment wasn't about comparing rape to animal abuse
it was about the fact that many sports figures (actors too actually) are "forgiven" more easily than other citizens because of fame, or because it would interfere with the games to have that player stuck in jail.
I absolutley hate Vick, but will I stop being a fan of the Eagles because of this? No. Vick will probably never be accepted in the public. There's so much that the Eagles and Vick are going to be doing to try to help charities. If it wasn't the Eagles who signed Vick, it would've been another team. It's a very sticky situation, but there's going to be a lot of damage control on the part of both Vick and the Eagles. If you want to Boycott the Eagles, why not Boycott the NFL and all of the sponsors of the NFL for allowing Vick to play?
stevewiginowski, now that is a best answer if I've ever read one. but you see, that would be impossible for that would require all the vick haters to actually stand up for what they *say* they believe in.
as for starlord, dude you hit the nail on the head too. religion aside, who among us are worthy of judging vick, the eagles, or anyone for that matter? eh, but that is what m3c's is best at, right? pounding away on our keyboards, judging all who we find fault with, in some sad attempt to make our own lives seem a little better. indeed.
so who among us would invite him over to dog-sit?
>:)
As a dog owner myself I think the guy is an absolute waste of space. In a business world he would have been fired from his job never to be rehired by that company ,but since he's a pro ball player it's okay then. I spit on him. That's just my opinion I could be wrong.
Everyone can wrap him up in a nice box and put a great big bow on it but inside is still a piece of sh*t.
now i have a nice mental image bargod
lol
I have 2 dogs and certainly don't condone what Vick did. BUT he did pay his debt to society and deserves to pursue his life. Am I a supporter of his? NO. But, this guy got more jail time than child molesters, sex offenders, and rapists. I think our justice system needs to rethink the punishments and make sure they fit the crime.
The punishment did not fit the crime. He should never be allowed back into football. He is not worthy to reprensent any team nor is he a good role model for anyone.
Why does this review have 14 votes.
Because people are offended by Michael Vick.
I get offended at allot of things also, But don’t threaten to boycott anyone. What nonsense
Wallace that was a good, no GREAT, answer.
Thanks Stewart, I liked your answer also.
I'm sorry, but this post is just RIDICULOUS. How about boycotting Cleveland for the suspension of ONE YEAR for Stallworth and he killed SOMEBODY! Your post = NOT HELPFUL.
BAD MOVE!! Micheal Vick has to go!
Hiring Micheal VICK is unbelievable! I will contact all your corporate partners to complain about VICK! I hope everyone will boycott your games and the other teams should refuse to play you! If you keep VICK you will never recover from such a terrible thing and even a hundred years from now people will talk about how VICK brought down the eagles and how everybody hated them, then they couldn't find a team to play them, then it got so bad they couldn't even sell a coffee mug! Get rid of VICK show the people you care and you have seen the outrage. Do the right thing before all your sponsors and fans dump you.... more >>
SC, looks like you are putting a curse on vick and the team.
We get it, SC.
I noticed you didn't say you were going to boycott all those companies...just write them. :D
Role model for evil? Dramatic license excepted.
The "Basher's Book Of Law"...states there is a difference between "paying his debt to society" and "being punished for the crime"...
Paying debt to society: when someone turns themeself in out of guilt and conscience and does their time for it.
"Being punished for a crime" is when someone denies the charges is found guilty of a crime, and would still be doing the illegal act if they were not 'caught' and is punished. Then released after the time was served.
Therefore...Vick has not paid his dues to society, he simply did time for his actions in which he had no other choice to do, it was not voluntary.
I will be doing a book signing at Waldenbooks this weekend!
I dunno, DB..he went pretty meekly. He never mouthed off about it or denied it, he entered a guilty plea and "accepted full responsibility", he turned himself in and he did his time.
I dunno what else the guy can do. I HATE dogfighting with a passion, but at some point you just have to let go and forgive.
I dunno either Boki...I heard he denied it...so, I'll put my opinion on hold for now. Either way, the man is a loser.
Would you still like an autographed copy of my book? It's good for swatting cats..uh..I mean flies!
Uh yeah! I gotta a couple of huuuuge pests that I need to swat. ;)
Wow, this is quite the response! Here is the way I see it; Michael Vick chose a career in the public eye. While legally, he may have paid his debt, he is still subject to public scrutiny.
Keep in mind that the "Public" is a population of consumers who have freedom of choice, freedom of speech, and freedom to protest. So, while it may be Vick's right to seek employment, it is the general public's right to oppose it.
So while many of you are speaking out against Vick/Eagles/NFL, and others are being critical of those individuals, everyone is excercising their right.
I say let's see how this comes out. When you work in the pu... more >>
chuhbaca, while a well written response, I must respectfully disagree. starlord got smacked for bringing up religion but his answer is spot on. but eh, what can we do, we are all but mortal men and women and we will go about our merry way judging others that we deem worse then us 'cause we're just exercising our right to do so. at the end of the day I can rest easy knowing that *I* am not a torturer of dogs, therefore *I* am better then that scumbag vick.

Well, y'all know I'm an animal rights person to the core of my vegetarian self. I hate what he did. I hate it with a seething passion. I would scream at the television with his face in the screen until my throat was raw. I cried when I read the rehab stories of ten of the dogs (saved and happy now). However, he did his time. If we are going to have a system, flawed as it is, of crime AND punishment, we can't condemn the man AFTER he's paid for the crime. I would have liked to see what was done to the animals done to him, but that's not how it works. It works how it does, and how it did, and he's paid. If nothing else, the whole situation has ... more >>

Boki...I wasn't talking about C2O, but I'm sure it would work on him just as well...a pest is a pest, ya know what I mean? LOL!

PS. OP, you don't want him in your church? If anything, I'd want him there to help him stay on the straight and narrow. Your attitude is the biggest issue I have with organized religion and the so called "Christians" who use it like a ballbat. The OP said "church," so I will assume synagogue and mosque are out. Christians say "church."
And Starlord was right..so was sherdy. That tacky, tacky statement about not wanting him in YOUR church is just about nauseating. Every butt in those pews has no room for judgement. Ask your preacher.
anyone, you, or your kids?
I would not want this person going to my Church.
I would not even be in the same room with this person.
What if any Church/Religion does he practice?
For those who stated religion wasn't mentioned, I would suggest you read the COMPLETE review before jumping on the response. I am not a Christian, but am so very familiar with those who claim to be, and then turn around and gossip and backbite and rabidly attack those they consider not to be Christian or even sometimes those who are. As I heard once, years ago, The world is divided into two groups, the righteous and the unrighteous. The dividing, of course, ... more >>
YES ! All these big companies care about is $$$$ < let them feel the pain ...BOYCOTT all the PHL EAGLES sponsors
Starlord, Nobody stated religion wasn't mentioned I merely stated a particular religion wasn't mentioned and then questioned why you dragged Christianity into it. It's obvious you have an anti-Christian bias and your statements about Christians are nothing more than spite and ignorance. Again, I fail to see how Christianity has anything what so ever to do with this review being that the OP never claimed to be Christian or any other religion. Your own prejudice led you to that assumption.
Star..LMAO!!" Either follow the tenets of your faith completely, or resign" ain't nothin like a bunch of Baptists standing on the church steps smokin and talking about the time they had at the bar last night before the service!
Stew, "I would not want this person going to my Church" this being the US and the majority of religions are Christian, this would imply that the op has those beliefs.
All this being said. Who give a rat's rear what happens to VICK THE PRICK?
'..he went pretty meekly. He never mouthed off about it or denied it, he entered a guilty plea and "accepted full responsibility", he turned himself in and he did his time.
Vick's actions only came to light as a result of a police raid. If not for that raid he would have continued his abuse and murder of dogs.
if a person pays their debt to society, that's all well and good. However, Vick is a roll model for kids and and now they see that he does a little time and walks out right into a million dollar contract. I think ppl who are sports figures/roll models for our children should be scrutinized MORE than normal employees..what are we teaching our children? It should be in their contracts ..once you do something like Vick and/or serve time you are OUT. Period.
Well said sharpasice.
Sharpasice, Vick is under more scrutiny than "normal employees". You don't hear about people who get caught with drugs (when it's not a lot), or people who give other people the finger, but you heard about it when it was Vick. If what he did with the dogs was done by someone else, it would be all over the news, not as much as with Vick, but still a lot. It's horrible and disgusting what Vick did. People may see him as a role model, but it would be a parent's job to explain why he is not.
Great response, Steve.
ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! It's all about the money. Vick's contrition is meaningless. If he had a signed player contract waiting for him when he was released, you would seen a very different Vick. The NFL and the Eagles ONLY care about the money and a strong, organized boycott of sponsors is the ONLY thing that they will pay attention to. And if that doesn't work, focus on the carrying networks
If it was the killing and torturing of children that Vick was involved in, would the NFL and the Eagles be so forgiving and generous?
not true Steve, you hear about people (mostly sports figures) getting caught with drugs or failing their drug tests all the time. This is the occupation they chose and with that occupation and standing as a role model, comes the respondsibility to be a stand up kind of person. If that is too tough for him or any other "role model" then they should get out of the game and they certainly shouldn't be getting millions of dollars as a "reward"

Sharp, he's not getting millions of dollars as a reward for his character or for being a role model. He was getting millions of dollars because of his ability. With that came great responsibility such as being a face of a franchise and people did look up to him. He screwed up, big time. He lost millions of dollars and people don't look up to him anymore. He is trying to get back into the NFL. Teams wouldn't sign him if they didn't think he wasn't still talented. They're not asking him to be a role model for their team anymore. He's not getting paid nearly as much as he would've been worth had he not did what he did. He's still gettin... more >>

I keep hearing that sports figures are role models...maybe fifty years ago, but now? Sport figures are in it for the love of the money, not the love of the game. They are role models for greed, adultery, drunk driving, doing drugs, having orgies on boats, fighting in bars, and murdering people. I wouldn't want my cat to grow up like many of them. The idea of Vick ever being a role model (even if he hadn't done such horrid things) is laughable, or sick and sad. You choose.
sherdy..D) all of the above.
What this man did sickens me to no end. Using animals to fight for sport. I am an animal lover, and the fact that someone like this is trying to be a role model for kids angers me. I realize he's done his time, but he will always be the football player who abused and tortured dogs for sport fighting. I would never in a million years want either one of my children looking up to this creep. I've seen the stories on the news and I also read about the people who attend these "events". THIS IS A PEICE OF HUMAN TRASH WHO DESERVED THE DEATH PENALTY FOR TORMENTING ANIMALS FOR SPORT. STOP JUSTIFING WHAT HE DID TO SUPPORT YOUR OWN LOGIC. HE TORTURED ANIMALS PLAIN AND SIMPLE, HE CAN'T UNDO THE PAIN HE HAS CAUSED. HE DESERVED A LIFE SENTENCE AND HE SHOULD HAVE GOT IT. THIS IS A SICK LITTLE MONKEY WHO THINKS HE CANT BE TOUCHED. LETS HIT HIM WHERE IT HURTS HIS MONEY.

so because i said sick little monkey you automaticly make it racist llllllooooooollllll

Even if you didn’t mean for it to sound racist, what’s with the childish name calling.

i used the term monkey because it is the lowest subhuman term that i could come up with at the time. you saying that i was implying racism when i wasnt make you the racist you bigot.

hes an animal torturer there is nothing childish in calling this man a monster how hard is that to understand

Actually, monkeys are highly intelligent primates.

yep just ask Think Geek about Timmy =)

case in point: hes a monster and does not deserve to be where he is. and the fact that some one you would defend him because he plays football is an insult to the sport.

a quarter back who smokes crack beats his wife and kills children and beats muzzled puppies would be ok to play in the nfl by all your standards then. cause they are not just dogs they are living things they have a right to live too.

wow, get a life. Your comments are way off the mark.
I agree Vick the prick is a jerk and deserves nothing.
It (not he, cause it don't deserve that status) is not worthy of the bs and time that is being spent discussing it's problems. You are just adding to it's fame.

Michael Vick is unstoppable because he is the master of the universe! Let it shine, Michael!!!

Mr. Mike...you might want to break that news to Lebron James...LOL!

In other news... $147,000,000 2nite! Wowzers!!!

I've got my tickets! I am sooooo ready already!

Since this week isnt payday, I only spent $12 on the lotto. May you win 2nite, DB!

C2O's post is a best advice winner!? I would have long since deleted it if I could have found a "smartarse and/or sour grapes comments not allowed" clause in the site guidelines.

When I win those millions Slim, I'll buy out M3C and add that just for you!
HOORAH to C2O for the best answer!!!
This review is still hot. I think everyone made very good points.
DB, that should cost about 5 cents. Can't you afford it now? LOL.
I won't even have to make a comment about Vick. You can probably read my mind. In case you can't though, I'll just say, if I had a business, I wouldn't want him representing me. But, then, I probably wouldn't want any ex-con anywhere near me or my other employees. I'm not fair minded in that way. Maybe he can now be a spokeman for PETA?
Allright already, Vick can play. But he should be required to wear M.C. Hammer's gold balloon pants filled with at least 60 pounds of roadkill during the entire game. I'd say that's fair.
and ... wait...
that was c20?
where was the innuendo? =)

I ain't sayin' anything about the meat in MC Hammer's pants!
MC Hammer?? I thought he was dead.

Dead meat, LOL.

Pepper, you have to think like C2O...Here's what he's really sayin':
I kind of thought that a 2 year contract to play footsie, ball and feelie was basically an extension of his prison buddy. RIDE 'EM COWBOYS!
Now, do you see how arousing that is?
Dead meat, now that was funny :)
droppin' the soap in the locker room eh?
Hey Pepper,
I was watching Mike Galanos on HLN earlier. He had a guy who called and was very sympathetic to Vick the Dick. I kid you not, the caller said give Vick a break, he had to always watch his back in prison, and to make sure he never dropped the soap.
Obviously the caller had plenty of prison experience and was a fellow dog fighter the way he was carrying on.
All of you who are giving this review helpful votes, are you agreeing there should be a boycott, or are you agreeing that Vick is a Ahole.?
I'm agreeing that it's nice people can have their own opinions--neither right nor wrong. Works for me!

you don't have to have been in prison to know
not to drop the soap
or to at least use powdered soap, so it's harder to pickup...

Just try to get a city, state or federal government job once you are a conVicked felon. They don't want your sorry azz even though you have paid your debt to society. The Eagles and NFL are all about the money, Greed is good. Just imagine, you walk out of jail totally broke and bankrupt and the Eagles offer you over one million dollars for one year. This is discusting. Shame on them.
For those that feel Vick has not met his obligations. What do you feel is a fair and realistic penalty for him? Please read up on what he actually did, plead guilty to and what the court sentenced him to. Further, what the NFL, realistically his only viable job prospect, santioned him with. Keep in mind, recently another NFL player served only 30 days in jail for killing a pedestrian while driving drunk.
No one has anything to say? Sheez....I thought I'd see all kinds of responses to my question.

C2O (08/15/2009) | I think playing in Philly is fair punishment.

Way to revive a dying thread, Judge.

sorry judge
im pooped
went to the local roller derby game - home team won!
and then i came home, had some pasta and wine and now i'm ready to pass out

Didn't a former baseball player kill someone last year while driving drunk?

C2O (08/15/2009) | They still have roller derby? Wow!
The Angels lost a pitcher to a drunk driver.

I think you are thinking of Dante Stallworth, yaya...he played in Cleveland...which isn't half as good as Cincinnati...but it is better than Pittsburgh

I was talking about Jim Leyritz. he played for the Yankees and Padres

what? jim killed someone?
wtf. =(
im a die hard yankee fan but dang he should f'ing know better.

I was a fan of his when he played for the Padres back in '98.

I just read online that Leyritz is facing up to 13 years in jail

BTW Pepper, I won't hold it against you that you're a Yankees fan. Lol. If you ever wanna come by and do shots, I'll let ya drink out of my 'Yankees Suck' shot glass

C2O (08/15/2009) | Yankee.... sounds arousing.

Dying thread?? It's not like this thread is 6 months old. The initial post was less than 48 hours ago and has almost 140 replies. Probably one of the most active in here. Still no response from the anti-Vick folks.

C2O, same as a quickie, but guys do it alone

I just did

C2O (08/15/2009) | But I'm not a Yankee fan! Pepper's the one that needs to wash her hands. She said she's a die hard fan of yankees.
Pretty cool.
LMAO C2O!!!!
c20 you just need to wash your hands because of where they've been =)

It is disgusting that the Eagles gave Vick a $7 million contract only weeks after being released! Verizon should pull its sponsorship immediately and I have organized a boycott of Verizon until they do which anybody can join here - http://www.boycottowl.com/Verizon+Wireless/7

Anyone find it a bit ironic that the team who picked him up has an animal for a mascot?
I'll first say that I'm a huge animal rights supporter, and I think dog fighting (along with cock fighting and dog racing) pretty much telegraph to the cosmos what an incredibly horrid species we are.
That being said, the NFL is full of guys who have been convicted of different things, and you really don't see the outrage about them being in the NFL. Seems a bit odd.
Fitting payment judge would be to cover him in chop meat and have him eaten by the dogs he tormented.
Dare you to take your boycott the Eagles dribble to a game at the Linc. Just be sure you make your reservations at the hospital before you do.
not going to waste the energy boycotting this piece of human filth ill just do what i always do when the eagles are on......... change the channel:-)

Judge, it was a joke. Your comment wasn't even 24 hours later. I apologize because looking back it certainly didnt look like a joke.

Give Vic another chance, cut him a little slack. Give him a year and see if he is a better man.
I'm still trying to figure out why would he would fight dogs knowing he could lose everything! Where were his advisers? I could have told him that fighting dogs could land him into jail!
Give Vic one more chance. Maybe he won't be so ignorant and do stupid stuff that pisses everyone off this time. If he was serious about changing his ways he would:
1) Marry the mother of his two kids (This will show that he is responsible and committed).
2) Stop going to strip clubs (he's probably going to end up in trouble again hanging out at the strip c... more >>

What about how Greyhounds get abused for dog racing.

Or horses are abused for horse racing.

I agree that Vic seriously needs help but let's not get it twisted.
Peta kills thousands of dogs (including little cute puppies) a year.

What Vic did was wrong but I doubt that any of us are saints! Let's all hope that Vic will be a better person and learn from his mistakes.
He went to jail. He paid fo... more >>

Give the animal abuser a chance hmmmmmmmmmmm nope and lets not get this twisted the peta puts them down with euthenasia not throwing them into a blender. these dogs fight each other, some time to the death and if survive and allowed to live are left with horrible disfigurement. seriously, you did not compare peta to mike vic lol. lets try this go to a dog fight in philly cause they are real popular their judging by the eagles fans defence of this henious act and see one for your self, then we can see if you have the same opinion. stop defending this human waste he does not deserve millions for what he did heres an idea how about he plays for... more >>

WOWreally.....you apparently did NOT read up on what he's given then. If you had, you would have found out he put nearly a million dollars in escrow to pay for the remaining dogs. You would further realize that he has offered to speak to kids or anyone that will listen about how not to treat animals. He has also filed bankruptcy and worked a menial job while on house arrest.
I said realistic solutions. Working for free is not something you'd do, why should he?
no i did read up thats how i know he declared the bankrupcy INSTEAD OF PAYING. ITS CALLED A CHAPTER 7!!!!!
oo poor dogs.
they got screwed over again?
YES THATS MY POINT and for the record i even said how about half of it goes to a local humane society you know they need the help to take care of the dogs from people like vic and his ilk.
To no one in particular........public has a very short memory, as I thought. It'll be out of their minds probably shortly after the season opener. Here is a snipet from a wrapup of his first game.......
"Playing his first game since his release from prison, Vick entered to a standing ovation from a half-empty stadium."
Half empty cuz of pre-season but the fans loved him.
To no one in particular.... a few games need to be watched to determine who is going to advertise. THEN the letter writing and phone calls begin, so watching 1 uneventful game does not mean its all downhill for Mr. Vick or that the opposition isn't gearing up for action. Glen Beck is a prime example of that power in motion and I believe we will see the same applied here as well. JMHO
who cares about eagels fans their are more people in this contry than all thirty people in the stadium that day.
ARE YOU PEOPLE SERIOUS!!!!!HE HAS PAID IS DEBT LEAVE THE MAN ALONE AND LET HIM PLAY FOOTBALL. NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT ALL THE OTHER FOOTBALL PLAYERS WHO HAVE KILLED PEOPLE AND YOU GUYS DONT BOYCOT THEM. THIS IS SILLY. HE HAS PAID HIS DEBT LEAVE THE MAN ALONE
How about the NFL idiot who's gun went off accidentaly and he shot himself inn the leg... He just got two years, 1 for the self inflicted wound and one for sheer stupidity...
DANIEL BECAUSE THEY DONT TORTURE ANIMALS. AS FOR THE DUD WHO SHOT HIMSELF IN THE FOOT!!!!! HE SHOT HIMSELF THAT HURTS AND IS PUNISHMENT IN ITS OWN RIGHT. oh and ps DECLARING A CHAPTER 7 IS NOT PAING YOUR DEBT THATS JUMPING SHIP.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...you guys are too loud!
To no one in particular again.....pretty big backlash so far. Several games into the season and this topic is all but dead. As I said a few posts above.....the public's memory is short. No uproaring mobs, no threatening by advertisers. Status quo, as it should be. Time served, move on.
