CIGNA - a joke of an insurance company - Payment

This is actually the second time I have been with CIGNA, not by choice, it was chosen by the company I work for. I am having issues with them paying for my daughters doctor visits, they keep telling the doctors that her coverage is terminated; they tell me that all is fine. I am paying the monthly premium so why aren’t they paying the bills?? I have also found out they do not pay anything on dependents for prenatal care. The first time I was with CIGNA my oldest child was diagnosed with cancer, they actually sent me a form to fill out and ask if Chemo was medically necessary, what a joke of an insurance company. Hopefully our company will change carriers since there have been so many issues with CIGNA.

Hope you get your insurance issues taken care of..I highly doubt it,they could care less about the health and well being of their customers. It seems like I change coverage almost every year..They keep raising the premiums...

Steve the only thing they care about is the health and well being of your wallet.

Are they verbally telling you, her coverage is terminated?

You should request a copy of the insurance form, that shows who is eligible and who isn't.

    exactly...

It's hard to find insurance companies that will accept my wife. She has a heart condition, had it since birth..She was covered by the state when we first met(good thing, because we had to go to Stanford University every few months so they could check the difibulator in her),but after we got married they dropped her because "your husband makes too much money"...so the Stanford trips ended and we found a local specialist.
But whenever we decide to change coverage we have to go thru this whole ordeal all over...

    Fix this system dammit!

Steve as long as the health insurance lobby pays of the dems and repubs their will be no healthcare reform.

It isn't just the insurance companies it's the entire health care industry as long as the pharma, medical products, insurance, hospital chains and group practices and all of the rest pit profits against patient care and use a handsomely paid lobby to buy off our government to guarantee they won't be regulated into providing proper care the patient care will lose out to profits. Only when they remove the profit incentive and simplify the process so we all know what to expect will we get treated fairly and afford-ably.
