Very good write up Jkt and some good old fashion wisdom as well.
i really miss having a kmart in my area
jkt, very good review and it's nice how it worked out. (For some reason Rain Man came to mind and how he needed to go to K-Mart for his underwear, lol.)
Nice! I betcha the cashier realized what happened after you left, and took the merchandise to CS.
I love visiting KMart in Buffalo, I wish this country still had them.
No "Le Mart De K" in Canada? Do you have Tarje's?
Non, seulement Zellers, WalMart et Tigre Giante.
"Tigre Giante." I love it!
Merci, Zellers le seur Canadiane du Tarje.
You don't have stupid written on your forehead. Glad to hear it all worked out for you!
jkt, I bet since you didn't have a holier than thou attitude it made a lot of difference too. I've found when I needed something to ask the person to be my "hero" and I usually get pretty good results.
Canadian...WHY? WHY? WHHHHHHHHY would you ever want to go to Buffalo? We used to escape from Buffalo into Canada every chance we'd get! No one in their right mind would leave Canada to go into Buffalo!!!! LOL!
Is Crystal Beach still open?
That is just some good ole' Louisiana kindness for you:) Remember, don't drink too many hand grenades.
DB, we've always loved visiting Buffalo. The people there are very friendly for the most part and the neighborhood we stay in, Cheektowaga is clean and well kept. In saying that, it's easy to find yourself on the wrong side of the tracks if your'e not careful. As for Crystal Beach, I'm not sure if it's still open.
Yes, the outskirts of Buffalo is ok...but when we lived in Buffalo, we always called it the concrete jungle. If we wanted anything to do, we had to go into Canada because Buffalo had nothing to offer. I hear it's really bad in Buffalo now. We used to live right off Niagara Street near the Peace Bridge. My favorite place to go was to the Fort Erie Racetrack!
We get the Buffalo news in Owen Sound and like any other city, it has its share of violent crime. But as a whole, I think it is relatively safe. However, we did get lost once and wound up in the neighborhood centered around Bailey Avenue. That was scary.
I remember Bailey Avenue. We used to live on Hampshire Street right near School 18.
How did a post about a Kmart in Louisiana, wind up in Buffalo NY?
cos buffalo is closer to canada
and it has a kmart
though when i go to buffalo i prefer target
tho there's a cute little store at the southgata plaza that has dirt cheap kitchenware, usually at least half the price of what other stores are charging
then that explains it.
Yeah JKT...get with the program! LOL!
Buffalo is a nothing town and if it wasn't for Canada, no one would even know it existed.
but it's nice to see they were helpful and you got your goodies =)
DB, it just might be the other way around!! LOL!!
well i will say drivers in buffalo are crazy...
they drive around with a foot of snow on top of the car. i mean driving in snow is fine, you kinda can't avoid it, but ... why spend more gas just to cart the snow around with you?
it's insanity i tell you insanity.
and you can tell who didn't grow up in the area.
well first, the snow on the car roof will have been brushed off
but second, they'll actually stop at red lights.
(the locals wont' stop until the light's been red for 2 seconds)
LOL Pepper...the Buffaloians will walk before they clean the snow off their cars and dig them out...it's just quicker to get to where you're going that way. Heck, I knew people who just left their cars buried on the curb until the snow melted in June...they took the bus when they wanted to go anywhere...LOL. They are tough boogers, that's for sure.
